I wonder what's really going on? That place must be pretty lax or officials are on the take. They let the accomplices go with no charges, initially they toss this guy in jail for 30 days then they change their minds and let him out on bail, and then they conveniently capture the guy again as he's about to jet away. I'm wondering if this guy didn't try to buy his way out of this and somehow it backfired. Jeez, stick to the plan if there is one in a place like that.

+1 Fleeing the scene, trying to flee the country in a car and then a private jet... I don't see the judge having a lot of pity on him.

I doubt the prisons there have cable and the amenities of British prisons, either.

I'm sure he will find some in the Macedonia government to bribe.

Killed 1, possibly 2 people, fled the scene, jumped bail...and he's going to walk?!

I've got lunch at the place of your choice in Vegas (I get out there on occassion) that says he does time. Just say the word.

Well I would be happy to buy you a lunch here in Vegas anyways... :)

But, I wouldn't be surprised if this story suddenly disappears and some Macedonian official mysteriously is seen driving a new 997 Turbo of his own.

Cool. Not that I'd know (cough, cough), but the general rule of thumb for bribing 3rd world bureaucrats is that it only works if you keep a very, very low profile. Sort of a "no harm no foul" kind of play.

I just don't see that working for old Nick in this case. Macedonia hardly wants the rest of Europe to be reporting that manslaughter is just a "speeding fine" away from freedom/immunity.

Yes... the press this is getting isn't helping him at all.

But soon there will be another big headline and this will fall into the shadows. I'm not saying he doesn't deserve to be punished, I just think that in the 3rd world there are probably ways to fall through the cracks in a way that can't be done here in the States... just ask Ms. Hilton.

Keep in mind guys, this is the second time this dude has done this. First tried running away using another M5 Gumballer which he got captured at the borders. Then now this.
