Knock on wood, but this Stoner kid is not living up to his name thankfully. How would one compare him to Rossi? Is Ducati finally becoming a top tier team?

They sure are making a case for themselves. 3 wins in 4 races? Doesn't get much better than that. Stoner is riding fantastic - shows a ton of maturity, makes very few mistakes. In yesterday's race, he did exactly that when Rossi was all over him. The power of the Ducati is incredible - they seem like they are able to pass at will down the straights.

I wouldn't count Rossi out just yet. He loves nothing more than a challenge - and it looks like the Ducatis will be the ones to provide that.

It's going to be a great season!

The Ducs are just ballistic. 10mph on average faster then the rest. Why is that?

I have to imagine that it's brute horsepower.

Did the Ducatis only win on the fast circuits? I recall the first one was a fast circuit and the second one they didn't win was a twisty and technical circuit but what about the third and fourth? I haven't seen those races.

Turkey and China, both tracks with some highspeed area´s but not necessarily your typical highspeed tracks.

Interestingly, Ducati has offered their engine to be examined by the racedirectors, to exclude any notion of faul play. Needless to say the racedirectors found nothing.

The longer the straights are on any given track is where the Ducs will have an advantage. When it comes to the twisties - I don't care who the rider is and on what bike - Rossi has the advantage.

Exactly, the tighter tracks of Europe will decide the championship. Rossi has everyone's number in the turns, as evident by his pole time and him destroying Hopper after going off-track. The reason Stoner has matured is because he knows he can take it easy on the turns and just explode down the straights. That GP7 motor is insane, but the chassis of the Yamaha is impressive.

I would say that it's more Rossi than the Yamaha chassis.

It does seem like it is their turn. As much as I like the Ducati bikes, it makes watching motogp frustraing when one machine is so much stronger than the others. This last race was a perfect example, Rossi did everything he could to pass in turns only to be blown away easily in the straight aways. Congrats to Stoner for knowing how to handle the power and not be spooked by Rossi's antics.

It would be awsome to see Rossi ride for Ducati, if a tad predictable.
