Hey guys, I've been doing some spotting in the Beverly Hills/West Hollywood area for the last two days and I could see why having a spotters thread for that area would be redundant! Exotics/high end cars are pretty much a dime a dozen in Beverly Hills. Just today I must've spotted at least 10 Murcielago's, 5 550 Maranellos, 30 Bentley Continental GT's and Silver Spurs, 3 Mclaren SLR's and last but not the least 2 Rolls Royce Phantoms! It's nuts! And I thought Vancouver was a wealthy area...
Thanks Peter! Sharp eyes Salar, yes, a 365GTC/4 showed up as well as the 400i you can see, the 599GTB, Peter's 308GT4, and some dirty ol' 348 which Peter graciously hid in his shots. but no RS200. Some of those old Alfa's and fiats can really hustle along the twisties, these guys know how to drive! it's a good group.
I remember when the Granville Street bridge was safe grounds for driving, but every time I'm on that bridge there's a guy with radar on the South end.
Anyone experiencing a slow connection with F-Chat? I remember when I first started here, the connection speed was superb. Now it's click, wait...wait...wait..., click again, wait...wait...wait..., double click, finally connected to the thread I know this is not to do with cars, but it maybe a Vancouver, British Columbia server issue.
Hey BC fcar/lambo (or what have you) owners. Peter is thinking about coming to Kelowna for the Knox Mountain Hill climb on the long weekend...driving his gt4 (not racing it though). Are there any others out there who might be interested in bringing their Ferraris for an afternoon? I hope to have my gt4 there and a buddy's 308gts. Btw Kelowna is beautiful in May...bring the golf clubs. If there's enough interest I'll contact the organizers and see if we can get a parking area in the "show" lawn area.
Is there a website with details (events, dates & times)? I was on the Coq a month ago and hit snow, is Hwy 3 less risky for weather?
I know this is far in the future. I'll be at the Italian Car & Motorcycle show at Lonsdale in June. Anyone else going? I know Peter (308gt4) will be there. Also anyone coming over across the pond to Victoria for the FCA event on the Aug long weekend? Would love to know who's planning on coming.
Yeah the Coq can be a bear. I once represented a plaintiff from an MVA that occured near the summit in a snow storm...on June 17!! This is odd but yeah the elevation is so high anything is possible in May. Hwy 3 is not as high so it would stand to reason that there is less risk of snow/slush. It just takes an hour longer...but who'd complain about an extra hour of twisty highway driving in an italian thoroughbred??
red 360 on granville. btw i was website hopping and i finally saw pics of LMC's SLR. http://www.londonmotorcars.com/vehicles.php?details=00415 they finally posted it on there web. hope u guys enjoy. (AWSOME car)
