Wow, very exciting! Couldn't wait to participate in the course as well. Many thanks for the great pictures! Looking forward...
to SFchallenge and tiong. thank you, thank you and thank you. made my trip worthwhile. will definitely look you guys up when I visit Singapore again. It was a pleasure meeting with you.
Hi Tamveer, sorry I didn't have much time with you & small world isn't it? One of my nice client happens to be your close friend too.
Wow Lung, those are some amazing scenes & I'm surprised to see GG Tan there as well. Now this is some inspiring lifestyle! Please show us more. Thanks! BTW, Lung. I might have to buy you the Japanese lunch. Tested the Diablo earlier, it feels old, rough & the cabin looks old though it fitted my small frame better, engine's rough & it's like 40% slower than the G but I suspect a major service & new tyres will smoothen a lot of things out. Took it up to 200 & made some quick turns & it's very planted. Feels like my Testa but when you step outside with the doors up.....mama mia! I don't mind the spartan cabin but paying so much for so little makes me wonder...when I strap back into my G wow, now I do appreciate it better especially when I hear an early '05 model in yellow with little option is asking for S$620K! Oh Ah Tiong, thanks for the drink earlier
Jon, I guess owning the Diablo is to fullfill your dreams and having a piece of that legendary history. Afterall the G is still a modern car. Are you sure an early 05 can fetch that price? Did I ask too low for my car?

That's why I'm visiting the factory & see what they say in 2 weeks time maybe they can loan me one for the track Saw their chief test driver took one on the track & the Diablo rocks! I'm already thinking what parts I could pick up @ the factory parts counter It just looks tired & in need of love That's their asking price but I doubt it'll sell @ that & come to think of it, I may have one of the highest spec pre-05 G here.
Nice Phil, all these racing pics of our boys keeps our thread alive. How many hours/rounds did they do & what's the result?
What car? There are 3 used M5 in the market. But judging by your standard you probably will buy new..
Porsche Carrera Cup Asia 2007 (Round 4) Sepang International Circuit, May 6, 2007 Victories for Sawa and Mok Cref Motorsports Keita Sawa and Singapore s Mok Weng Sun both credited Lady Luck with their wins in Round 4 of the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia today, but their success had as much, if not more, to do with racing skill and a cool head under pressure. Second in Class A was Thailand s Vutthikorn Inthraphuvasak, followed by Team Vertus Nigel Albon. In Class B, Malaysias Tunku Hammam put in an extraordinary performance which had nothing whatsoever to do with luck to finish 2nd ahead of William Chip Connor. In Class A, Sawa took his first Porsche Carrera Cup Asia victory after championship leader Tim Sugden was given a drive through penalty for anticipating the start. However, that took nothing away from the fact he drove a superb 20-lap race. SCC Racings Christian Jones, who was running 2nd for most of the race, was forced to retire with radiator damage caused when he challenged Sugden for the lead. As they battled it out in the closing stages of the race, Sawa, Vutthikorn and Albon were completely unaware they were chasing the three podium places. Said Sawa: I had a good start, but midway through the race Christian had a problem and put water on the track. That made it almost impossible to stay on the track. It was a very long race, and its taken me a long time to take this win. There are a lot of very quick drivers in this championship, so I know I have to push myself harder. Mok, racing in the series for the first time this year, was delighted to have taken the Class B win, having finished 2nd to Connor in Round 3: I must say, I was under some pressure from my supporters in the Porsche Club Singapore to improve on my earlier result! I was next to Chip by turn one, but I didnt expect to see the blue car (Tunku Hammam) quite so quickly and I was praying for his tyres to go off. Hammam meanwhile, has put the misfortune which has plagued him since his return to the series at the start of the season firmly behind him, with a phenomenal performance. The sole Malaysian in the field picked his way back from the back of the pack to finish on the podium: Im delighted, particularly as I started last. I had a good start and passed three or four cars by the second turn. I saw Mok in front of me and thought I could give him a fight, but my tyres went off, so couldnt reach him. At the start, pole-sitter GruppeM Racings Sugden got away well, too well according to race officials, with Jones hot on his trail. Behind them, however, this time it was Sawa who stole the march on Albon, moving up to 3rd after a few tense seconds where the pair were side by side. Behind them, Sunseeker Asias Alain Li was challenging Team Hayashis Dilantha Malagamuwa when the pair came together, colliding and spinning. Li embarked on yet another charge through the field, before spinning again and retiring. Jones made his move for the win on lap 15, but experienced triumphed and Sugden grabbed back the lead. Jones retired shortly afterwards, while Sugden took his penalty. Oblivious to the fact he had secured a podium finish, Albon was pushing Vutthikorn hard in the closing stages but the, wily old fox as Albon later described him, held the Briton at bay to the chequered flag. Despite a setback, GruppeM Racing and Sugden still top the Class A leaderboard, but Sawa is now in 2nd, just eight points behind, with Vutthikorn in third. In Class B, Moks results over the weekend put him ahead of Australian Peter Boylan with just a two point margin, and Chip breathing down their necks two points adrift in third.
Hi Jon, you tested the beast! You are right, it needs some TLC, someone to love it! Found these new Porsche cabrio pictures, very nice chocolate tone, does anyone know if its a new colour? Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
John, possible to re-size the pics? They're giving me a headache Looks like the new Turbo Cabriolet. Brown shade seems to be a fashionable colour lately. Yes, the beast does need some care but paying so much money for something so tired is not very encouraging. I would also want to replace some of the plastic buttons as someone seems to have run keys or chemical over them. In fact, they're of such poor qualities they remind me of my TV's remote control. I wonder why would people pay more than a million bucks for something like that even new. Looks like build quality has improved tremendously across brands over the years. Maybe I should just wait for my next toto win & upgrade to a Murcie
