Im pretty sure that the capristo system delivers the sound I want.. scream! called the dealer and he sad i had the choice of 3 different sound levels. This is what the hompage says: Step 1: The system is louder than the series system neverthelessit is pleasant to drive. Step 2: The sound is lighter and more solid than with step 1. Step 3: Is a very aggressive sound for Motorsport What level do you guys run? and what have you heard? Think i want the step 3, but can it be TOO MUCH!? please post all the capristo clips you have
I have a level 3 on my F355. I love it. It is louder than standard at idle and low revs. Nice grow, but not obtrusive. I can carry on a conversation with the top down. Now hit the throttle and get the revs up and it shreiks and is loud. Did I mention that I really love this exhaust? Go for it. As they say, If it is too loud, you are too old. Steve
I have a CAPRISTO 'Sound 1' and am very happy with it!! I believe all three sounds are 'straight through' at wide open throttle anyway. So personally I prefer the dual-personality of the sound 1 . Level II here. Upon startup and at idle you can tell it's not stock. It's got a rich and throaty tone but not a burble type. Normal street driving it's not too intrusive (can still carry a normal conversation with passenger or cell phone) and no resonance at highway cruising speed. It really comes alive when you get on the gas and rpm>4000 when that bypass valve opens. It shrieks, wails and screams. Will get you lots attention with other drivers/traffic. Absolutely worth every penny. Note: I have mine with Hyperflows. Not sure how Capristo will sound with stock cats.
