How did you get to drive the car? Are you in Puerto Rico? Do you know the onwer? Does he know that that price is crazy?!
6000 Puerto Rico miles are like 18,000 miles anywhere in the US. :D
    Those roads are bad.

Hey man take it easy!! I drove the car because the car is in sale and the owner gave me a ride in the car!! Yep I live in Puerto Rico. The prize of the car is high because all the cars in Puerto Rico pay a 40% of the original price in taxes and registration to the government and obviously the cost is reflected in the prize. And the car is in really nice condition!!!
    Take care and easy man!!!

I am very familiar with the taxes (Albitrios) that a buyer is required to pay when importing a car to Puerto Rico. (Soy de Guaynabo) If the owner wants to sell the car however, he needs to be realistic with his price. There is not a 360 Stradale in the world worth $250k. I know it has been for sake for a while, and as we both know, there is a very small (if any) market for that particular car on the island.
    Saludos.

    It's "Artbitrios" by the way.

Whatever the value of a Stradale is in the mainland USA, add 40% and that is the market value in PR. Its that simple.

Ernesto, you guys are both wrong. It's ARBITRIOS.

    Sorry, couldn't resist ;-)

You don't get your arbitrios back on a sale in PR anymore than you get sales tax back in the states when you sell your car, so it is academic, anyway. The car is overpriced, especially with 8k and the white color, which caters to a very specific audience.

The white Stradale in Japan without stripe has wrecked and it looked pretty bad. It was being offered for $100k...but looks as if it would take more than $100k to fix it. I am no expert, but looks like damages severe.

When you import any expensive car to PR, you will pay 40% of the market value in ARBITRIOS, new or used (lower scale on cheaper cars). So, when you sell a used car in PR you dont just suddenly forget about the import taxes that were paid. If you are in the market for a Stradale in PR you have two options, buy the white one already here or buy one outside the island and import it, paying the 40%. It is directly relevant in PR because you dont pay the sales tax again the states on a resale (although in some states you do), but when the car enters the island it will pay the 40%. Market values for all used cars in PR include an adjustment for the ARBITRIOS. Trust me, you wont forget to add the $80,000 you paid in taxes to your Ferrari when you sell it in PR, because the buyer will have to pay it if he imports the car. I sold my 2000 360 Modena a little while ago for well over $200,000 - a price that would be unimaginable in the mainland USA.
