Ok here is my dilemma...I have owned a 308 GTS QV for 4 years I love the car but I am craving more power and a newer car so do I .... a) sell the 308 for $35-40k add $20-30k and buy a 348 convertible with 30K plus milage b) keep the 308 and buy a 355 convertible c) sell the 308 buy a 348 drive it for 1-2 years then buy a 355 and to complicate my decision making I only seem to like red ferraris with tan interiors...Forza in its latest issue wrote about the 348 vs 355 controversey... I think I am leaning toward getting the 355 convertible but I've heard the maintenance is rough and the tops are flawed..plus the shocks wear out easily and are pricey...what do you guys think...
In all honesty.........drive a 348 and 355, then buy the car you enjoyed driving the most. The 348 will be cheaper to service and you will probably do most of the work on it yourself. 355 will cost just that little bit more to maintain, but has more performance. Get in there and drive both, see what you think.........and go from there. I know which one Id take home.
OK - seriously, and somewhat sadly, there is an early red TS at a used sports car lot, near Miramar in San Diego. Mostly this place traffics in used Boxsters/996s, so I did a double take when I drove past and saw that lone red Ferrari. It looked to be in nice shape. Not a real 'road' sighting, but a bizarre place for a Ferrari to turn up.
I know it doesn't count, as not on road etc. But thought people might like to see this line up from silverstone yesterday. http://www.pbase.com/inspired/inbox&page=all
