Sunday, I posted a thread about my 1-4 light coming on and having 4 cylinders shut down for maybe 30 seconds. I drove 30 miles after that with no problems.

Tonight, I start the car and the 1-4 light stays on and it is evident that only 5-8 are pumping. I restarted the car 3 times with the same result and then was afraid of hurting it. 30k major is scheduled for May 29th, but I may have to move that up for this. Any guesses? I heard Cat ECU could be an issue, so perhaps swapping that with the other side?

(responding to my own post - so nerdy)

This morning, car fires right up - no problems. 10 minute warm up - 4 miles warm-up drive and then I grought her to the Biltmore for lunch. No issues at all today. Wish me luck and hopefully I get home alright.

Any guesses? Bad fuel pump? ECUs? Plug wires?

    if you want guesses...

could be bad map sensors (not sure if the 355 is speed density or not) or it could be the 02 sensors... ignition is the other possiblility... plugs... coils etc...

120 miles today - 105 degrees outside, and all went well. Don't look a gift horse in the mouth, right?!

Thanks for the input - I'm going to swap the cat ECU left to right and see if it happens again to the other side.

A 4-cylinder F355 just isn't the same - sounds like a coughing Triumph. Fortunately, today was all music.

348's use MAFS not MAPS, same for the 355's.
