Was keyless Entry an option in 2003? If not, is it and a keyless trunk release difficult to retrofit?

Also, did the 2003 come with any 575M Badging (like on the trunk)?

    Thanks,
    dsd
Who kinda sorta maybe just bought one.

Not sure if this is true or not, but Edmunds says that Keyless Entry was a standard feature on the 2003 575M.
    See the web page at:
    http://www.edmunds.com/used/2003/ferrari/575m/100220637/standard.html

I don't know about the 575M badge on the back.
I've seen a few 2003's for sale with no badge on the back.
Don't know if that was an option or not.
Here is the pic of the rear of the 2003 from the Edmunds site. No badge on it.

What color car did you kinda sorta get?
    What interior color?
    F1 transmission or 6-speed?

    Any pics?

Thanks, I think 2004+ have the badge.

I hope keyless and remote trunk are included.

Nothing is final until its final, but I did put a deposit down on an 03 Black/black silver stitching Manual 6sp.

I will post pics and more info when things are final.

    Thanks,
    dsd

pre-final congrats! Excellent choice going with a gated-manual!

As for the rear badge, '04 and '05 got that-- along with the "F1 Championship" badge over the glove compartment. The trunk is a pain-- our 550, like your kinda-maybe-sorta 575 has an electronic switch inside the car to open it. The key has to be on accessories in order to open it-- I find pulling the manual cable behind the drivers side seat works fine when the car is shut off.

Wierd, neither one of my 550's needed to be on accessory for the trunk.

I just went down to the garage and checked... didn't open without the key! Fickle cars these Ferraris are.

My TR and Mondial were like that. The key needed to be in ACC for the trunk to pop.

If there is no keyless, I will probably add it. I should know a bit more on Monday.

My '03 does not have keyless entry. Trunk and gas cap release can be activated with engine off and car in neutral from the inside, not on the key fob. Mine has no badge. I've heard, however, that some did. I kinda, sorta did not just buy it.

Both my 2002 575 and my Superamerica work the same way - a separate alarm fob unlocks and locks the car. If the car is unlocked the alarm fob button still needs to be pushed to deactivate the alarm, which sets automatically when you switch off the engine and exit the car.

The trunk opener works without the key being inserted. It is a button on the on the door sill of the driver's side and it unlocks and pops open the trunk
