You always point out the bad or just what you don't like about KR.

If it was Shumi I don't think you would have started the complaining.

 

I'd be pissed as well! The team gave him a lousy car and clearly he expects that his car is prepped and cared for so that it can be competitive, let alone finish the race. I would left immediately and not waited for twenty minutes.

 

The thing is, though, that Schumacher would never do something like that...

 

I dont know the details as i havent watched the race but i can understand being pissed to the point that id leave but only because id be working with the team back at Fiorano as soon as possible . It must be hard to stay and see other smiling and cheering about their achievements the very same day you had to abandon.

 

Kimi is not Schumi and one day when his career is over he might reflect on why he never enjoyed the successes that Schumi or indeed Massa did during their careers.

In anycase I don't quite see why everyone is upset with the man. He never did anything behaviour wise that would make me suspect he'd fill the shoes of Schumacher or even live up to the standards that Ferrari has set.

I'm not sure what more KR could have done to "help the team win"... push the car to the finish line?

There was a problem in the alternator wiring - don't tell me KR is responsible for "finding a better setup" of this element.

 

For the 3 of you that think Kimi did nothing wrong, you are living in another world and have no clue about team work. I can safely say that if this keeps up and I cant see him changing, that Kimi will be bought out by year end and put out to pasture pollishing some of Mikes old f1 cars. I think that we are just beginning to see what MacLaren was up against with Kimi and why his cars kept melting down. There is so so much more than just jumping in the car and waiting for the green lights. Michael showed Ferrari and the rest of the world that. He was seen in the garage during practices well past midnight working with his Mechanics getting the car just right. While Mike used to fine tune his Ferrari, Kimi fine tunes the neck of a bottle.

My point exactly. He finds fault with Kimi where Kimi can't be blamed/ shouldn't be blamed.

 

What can Kimi do after the race car has failed on track?

How many times has MS replaced electrical components on the car? How many times have we seen him under the car turning wrenches? Never.

In order to help out after a component fails, Kimi would have to elbow his way under the hood and start backing bolts off. That's not his job.

And how can you say KR isn't dedicated?

Still even if KR is a huge jerk as long as he's ahead in points after half way in the season, the team will be 100% behind him. You don't start backing the stragglers when the finish line comes into view. Massa is the number two driver and will be fortunate to finish in second at year's end.

Every third post about F1 from you has a negative spin on Kimi.

 

Blamed for what? Should he stand 10 feet from the car and watch it be fixed?

Because he left he turned his back on the team? MS left everyday as well, does that mean he turned his back on the team every day?

What would you have Kimi do if he was to stay?

 

I don't know about you but if I'm extremely pissed I would rather cool off a bit and then revisit things when I've got a clearer head. He probably knows himself and felt it better that he just go analyze things a bit first. There's a lot going on behind the scenes to quickly jump to conclusions. I don't think it fair based on his short time with the team to jump down his throat for an electrical failure.

 

TV, cellphones, radios, the people he's with, the next day. Only the disappointment of the mechanical failure could be lifted slightly if a top contender was to drop out. Watching the rest of the race from the pits wouldn't have changed the outcome.

 

When he wins 8 titles. Anything less and he should be ashamed.

 

I agree with all your posts - team work in Ferrari is a definite must. To just leave because you got a dnf is the mark of person who is not and will not ever be a team player. As far as the post saying Kimi got a bad car, well that's just bs. Ferrari wants to win the CC and a comment like that is stupid. I think the main problem here is that those so pro KM are finding out why he's never won a championship and why he never will. The behaviour of today sets a bad example for Ferrari personnel. I have been for Massa all along and I will never forget seeing him (Massa) at the Finali Mondiali in Monza last year really spending time and giving his attention to fans young and old.

C'mon guys,
Now, I completely understand the disappointment in Kimi leaving, I was initally disappointed too. However, how many other current drivers are there that play as big of a role with the team that Schumi did? none. how many make an effort to be more than just a driver? maybe a few. A few months ago we were all extatic to hear Kimi had been signed, now everyone's jumping ship? we knew the way he was when he came. why would he change? He can be successful. What happened today, from what I understand wasn't his fault. I don't believe the drivers assemble engine components. Kimi isn't MS and he never will be. As much as I hate to say it, those days are over and we all need to just get over that. He's not going to be a huge developmental factor. Yes, I think drivers should play a huge role in the team, but at the same time, they pay engineers and mechanics to make the car go, and drivers to drive it. I think he should have stayed through the end of the race, but I seem to remember him being spotted walking onto his yacht in Monaco once or twice, and I recall people thinking it to be humerous then. He is who he is and we can't change that. Best we can do is hope that he gets a better sense of the meaning of team during his tenure.
