Somone mentioned Boadicea and I have seen her a few times, she is beautifully proportioned for such a ship. Image from MONACOEYE.com Image Unavailable, Please Login

193000 location for one week.. Our new President start very weel his holidays, a little travel in Malte with this boat. http://www.yachtchartersdeluxe.com/paloma.htm
the yacht that blows me away the most in terms of beauty is a 187 ft. 3 masted schooner called Fleurtje. it was up forr sale recently for like $15 mil, it was owned by some dutch criminal or something. i really love the look of it. as far as motor yachtts go, if i had the money for one, i would prefer to build my own, particularly with a focus on garage space for my cars. to me, if i were to spend hundreds of millions of $'s on a fairly useless boat, i would like it to be exactly how i wanted. (sorry for the length of the link, i had just bookmarked the google search result) http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://yacht-images.com/albums/Fleurtje/SYFLEURTJE007.highlight.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.yacht-images.com/modules.php%3Fset_albumName%3Dalbum12%26op%3Dmodload%26name%3Dgallery%26file%3Dindex%26include%3Dview_album.php%26PHPSESSID%3Db2c236ce6432fb9aa402fa85855b0cb6&h=150&w=200&sz=16&hl=en&start=1&tbnid=AbaXOxkGkw0fpM:&tbnh=78&tbnw=104&prev=/images%3Fq%3DFleurtje%2Byacht%26svnum%3D50%26hl%3Den%26lr%3Dlang_en%26safe%3Doff%26client%3Dsafari%26rls%3Den%26sa%3DG Image Unavailable, Please Login

used by the new French president sarkozy this week for 5 days....this boat was rent by a business man for the new president...KOF! KOF! KOF! something strange no?
Whats strange? Maybe in socialist France, but I don't see the problem with anyone accepting the use of a friend's yacht for a couple of days, regardless of who he is (or isn't).
This boat JeMaSa just pulled into the Newport Harbor yesterday. I was out on a boat when it came through, prob 50 feet away and it was quite amazing. It measures in at 164', built in 2006. Yeah the Wally has been mentioned numerous times in this thread and for good reason, the yacht is like nothing else! I love it!
Design: see http://www.expeditionyachts.com/ She was built by Hike Metal Construction, Canada. Some specs : - LOA : 141ft / 43m - beam : 32ft / 9.75m - draft : 7.6ft / 2.28m - hull / sup. : steel / aluminium - tonnage : 490 - Engine : 2x 746kW CAT 3508B diesels - speed : 13.75 knots - range : 5200nm at 10kts - accommodations : 12 plus 7 crew Were it 2 feet longer it would be the largest yacht ever built in Canada.
Is it just me, or are some of these mega motoryachts starting to look a bit top heavy? That's not generally good thing on the water, I should think. Moreover, aesthetically, I think they're starting to look like cruise ships (specifially, Octopus and Boadicea come to my mind). They're no longer as sleek as they once were. I suspect there's a push to get as much square footage out of the hull as is possible, but somehow I think some of these superyachts just don't look "right". That said, to each their own, and they're still possibly the coolest toys of all. CW
funny how things go... I went in search of an image that I know I don't have any more. Found this picture and copy of this Reason it is funny is that dark figure up by the foredeck is ME. I was on the refueling ship and had been on the VACII during shakedown Image Unavailable, Please Login
Im still amazed everytime i see pics of the Wally . Its probably one of the most beautiful thing on earth. Id be happy with a Wally and a few Ferraris.
