Saturday night the dashboard lights went out on my 98 355 GTS. I also have no tail lights. Headlights, turn signals, etc. all work fine.

Found that I'm getting no power to 3 fuses in the luggage compartment:

    1) left tail light
    2) right tail light
    3) dashboard lights and license plate light

So what powers these 3 fuses???

    TIA

You may want to check the fuse boxes themselves. Make sure that you don't have any corrosion built up in them. Water can find it's way to them from washing the car or driving in the rain. So have a good look at the fuse boxes, maybe even pull them out to have a really good look inside and out.

when that happened on my car it was the light control on the turn signal stalk.

So you had the same symtoms - headlights worked but no tail lights, license plate light or dashboard lights??

Did you have to replace the signal stalk?

Check one of my early posts to F-chat. It was on the old software system.

In my case, it happened the second I would accelerate and pop the fuse or fuses.

My local dealer didn't know what to do and said I may need the whole loom replaced wire loom. Nooooope.

A guy from a dealer in the midwest answered. The accelerator cable was rubbing against the wire harness near or under the console. A piece of electrical tape did it.

If you search....the date of my post was around 5/20/03
