Agreed, that's a chop. Orig. the "special" police car in Sg was going to be the Evo IX, but for some reason (price? supply?) they got the mildly tuned 250 hp WRX we see now. If you ask me, it's a needless expense. No-one would be dumb enough to run from the police in Singapore, not even if they were riding rickshaws. Besides, where to run to?
Actually heard from really reliable sources in the force, that some cars do actually manage to outrun the WRXs etc. No one knows who these dare devils are, probably drunks and non-license freaks with nothing to lose. Apparently backup are sometimes quite far away, thats how these jokers manage to escape.
took delivery at noon today. sent it immediately to be "canuba waxed". initial drives tell me i am probably going to LOVE IT!!! cant wait to gun it after the running in. must say the engine sounds like a symphony when you first start the car. owe you boys a meal but must wait for a while. zurich money laundering trip postponed so i only fly early tomorrow morning. spending friday at thruxton and the weekend in london. coming back next weekend via athens so fingers crossed. be good when i am gone.
