    Hey all,

I'm new to this section of the boards; I typically post in the Rocky Mountain section. I'm not an owner, just an enthusiast, and while my Ferrari knowledge runs deep, I'm mostly in the dark about pre-Daytona cars. Consequently, I would like some help from you guys.

Today I saw, on the road, a 1963 Ferrari 330 America. I later saw the vehicle again by chance parked at a home and rang the bell; the owner was not home but his wife very graciously allowed some photos to be taken in their garage. My original photo (taken with my cell phone's camera) and my other photos are below.

I think based on searches on the forum I turned up the going rate for these things, provided they can be located, but now I'm wondering: how many exist? I know 50 were made, but a search for '330 America' turns up some rough guesses but no definitive answers. Anyone have a very educated guess to the number of these still around?

    Here are my photos:

Thanks in advance for your replies.

I think that I know where there is a 330 America owner who is chewing out his wife for allowing a total stranger access to his garage and actually photographing his car without HIS permission!

As of last year, 29 in the US, 11 in Europe, 5 parted, 2 transformed into replicas, 3 with no information. Some may have moved around, but that's the listing from Bill Preston's 2006 GTE register.

    Thanks all for the information!

donv - the owner's wife said he "found it in a garage in Seattle" (her words) so I'm betting it's not the same vehicle.

There are two that I know of here in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, one without the original engine.

The "less than 20 330 Americas left" thing is kind of a Ferrari urban legend, I've found.

That one was for sale when I was looking for a 330 2+2...way beyond my means then, looks like a downright bargain in 5 years retrospect!

I included Mrs. West's car in the US total. We know where it is, but the owner won't let it go!

    Good one!

Actually, I'd be more worried about my wife's safety than my Ferrari's...
