Who cares, it doesn't have the soul of a 355. I've seen some really nice and very fast NSXs over the years. But none got my heart pounding like the sound of a Ferrari being driven well.

I have a modified NSX and although a lot of fun, I will admit that it does not have quite the soul of a 355. 355's sound great, especially with a Tubi exhaust. I have a Taitec system with full headers on the NSX and it sounds great but not F355 great. As for performance, my NSX (320hp with mods) will keep up with a 355 which I know does not seem possible given the stated horsepower differences.

I owned both, each for about 5 years. The NSX was one of the best sports cars the planet has ever seen. That Car I think woke up Ferrari and as a result we had the 355. Saying how great the NSX was, to me it still did not have the beauty, sound, or soul of the 355. The 355 was so thrilling everytime I drove it, while the NSX at docile speeds seemed so mild, but would get better as the speeds increased. However, onething the NSX had over the 355 was the maintenance costs.

For me it's all about style between these two - the NSX just doesn't have any attractive lines, the glass bubble of a cockpit looks like it was dropped on the body. Driving the 355 is like driving a work of art and listening to a beautiful mechanical symphony...

Quite honestly, the two are not in the same class IMHO. I say that because I never once considered an NSX, and I have no interest in one at any price point.

Besides, it wouldn't be a fair comparison... a MODIFIED car versus a stock car. Who cares?

    Stock NSX is no comparison.

    End of thread.

Be sure to add the fartcan exhaust. People will think "Ferrari V12!" before they see you pass.

It's widely acknowledged that an NSX will smoke a 355, but they don't stand a chance against the 348!
