of cos, Alonso is worth more than that. every1 from Jackie Stewart to his former bosses in Renault have been saying that he's under pressure for the 1st time in years by his own teammate, and to make things worse, a rookie teammate.

but, i'm not writing off Alonso just yet. it's too early. but, it'll be good to see how he bounces back from all this claims.

    1. Kimi
    2. Alonso
    3. Hamilton
    4. Heidfeld
    5. DC
    6. Massa
    7. Kubicka
    8. Fisi

I thnk DC could be a surprise at this race. The weaknesses of the Red Bull are somewhat masked by this circuit and he has more experience at this track than anyone on the grid, including two victories.

Hamilton should impress, Massa will qualify outside the top 5.

Swiss Blick's Roger Benoit names Hamilton a favourite to win the race. On top of all the talent and the mighty McLaren, he loves street circuits.

+1 maybe swap alonso and kimi.

Hamilton has won Monaco 3 times in a row if he gets a fourth what kind of record would that be?

Lewis won the GP2 race in Monaco last year for ART (Todt's son's team - he was the replacement for Nico) from pole position. Went on to win the GP2 Championship (also made GP2 history records). He who gets pole in Monaco usually ends up the winner.

Why is that? At Barcelona Coulthard and his Redbull were the fastest in the speed trap. So it looks like the strengths in this car are in it's straightaway speeds?

Yes....I think that this will be a real fight at Monaco. My feeling is that Kimi, Alonso, or Lewis in this race. I think Massa won't be as good at this circut as the last two, different kind of track..

A reporter who has been doing F1 for the last 40 years and is a personal friend to many of the drivers. At every GP he runs a betting pool for the drivers and team bosses. Or in other words: Somebody who knows his stuff. He was btw one of the first to announce the Kimi to Ferrari deal.

Based on a rain qualifying or race, I predict Kimi or Alonso on Pole and the Win. Dry track, thinking LEWIS.

He is not that crazy, I think Coulthard finished 3rd there last year in that Crazy Superman Suit.

Yeah only because Michael started from the back. Not to mention Kimi, Trulli and whoever else retired. If he thinks Coulthard will get a podium in a straight fight, then he is that crazy.

Let's not forget Monaco in 84. Both Senna and Bellof drove their cars above their performance levels. I suspect the same will happen this year if it rains.

So what is the Toleman and Tyrrell of 2007 and more importantly who are Senna and Bellof in the 07 field?

Lewis in the McLaren (not really a Toleman) and Rosberg in the Williams (not really a Senna)?
