Okay so just wondering what people would really do.. on the spur of the moment if, god forbid, you leave your car parked for a min and return to see a so and so keying the side of it?

Beat them to a pulp. Then report it to the police immediately that they hit me first when I caught them, and I had a fight in self defence and got the better of them;). No action would then be taken against you AND they would still get arrested for vandalism:)

I would smash the vandals head inn and next time he will remember that before he even thinks of keying another car.

Take a picture/ video of him doing it, report it to the Police who almost certainly will not respond because they will claim to be too busy

but at least you can show them who it was and they might just follow it up if you deliver the proof on a plate.

No doubt the scrote will have no money and you'll end up with the not insubstantial bill to repair your Car or pay your Insurance excess

I personally would do nothing but i would let the car run them over then stop when they was underneath and let the car do a wheel spin on them smoking the tyres on there skin/bones till it burnt through to the road surface

Someone scratched the bonnet of my plymouth but i missed them.

If i had seen them, I'd size them and the surroundings up for a potential kicking then call some friends. I would probably try and knock the w4nker out then kick him in the nads several times in order that he couldnt reproduce more little w4nkers, strip him and steal his clothes. Hopefully obtain proof of his address then carry out the same favour on his property.

Never quite works like that though, plus I'd be the one who ends up getting a kicking.

Low life scum the lot of them.

wise words mate, but unfortunately they sort of add to the arguement for kicking them to a pulp, "the system" does nowt.

Caught a kid draping himself on the bonnet of my 996 whilst his mate took a pic on his phone (he was sat fully on it, feet up too). Got him by the hands and bent his fingers back to the point of snapping, told him to keep his filthy mitts to himself. Sorta wished I had broke at least a couple now......;)

Happend to me. Had an M5 a few years back. De-badged so just trying to blend in. Parked up in Luxembourg to get a Kebab (dont ask) and came back a few minutes later to see a key scratch all down one side. Missed the bastard! Everyone in Lux had never heard of anythin like it!

If you're implying I'd use CV Joint lube on extra heater hose and give 'em a Brake Fluid Enema while jumpstarting him, then, you're sadly mistaken.

Only car I've ever had keyed was an M5. Parked on Embankment one Friday night (actually, 4 years ago tonight!) and someon keyed all along the passenger side. I would be less bothered if the stole it, wragged it, and stripped it...that, I can understand. Keying it? I really dont understand it.

Idiot. That was infuriate me. Do they have no concept of repsect for others property? I remember walking past a 612 parked up in Central London a couple of months back, around pub kick-out time. An incredibly drunk girl ran over to it and basically hugged the car, then started kissing it. Her b/f was right behind her repeating "please dont touch it, please dont touch it...." I possitively encourage people to appreciate nice cars, but doing something idiotic is, well, idiotic, and I think bending the fingers back was an easy let off! Tools.

You wanna see the finger/hand print on the Ferraris when we parked them in Casino Square last year.....unreal, one of the guys even had a *** butt left in the air intake of his 360......

And when we parked outside the four season in Geneva, we watched in dis belief as some woman had her picture took by the cars after putting her handbag down first. On the roof of one of our cars....

I woke up one morning and found scratches on the front of my GT2. It cost me 120 quid to get a mate to paint the bonnet, so in theory if you add in room service and breakfast it was still cheaper then getting a room..... ;)
