Saw a new Silver Porsche GT2 (no tags even) on Elkton/Newark road Sunday afternoon. I'm pretty sure it was the new model. I am not a Porsche expert by any means, but isn't this car as yet unreleased? The guy drove up next to me and gave me a thumbs up.(We were in the 308) He then went down into Maryland and did a u-turn at the Iron Skillet, where we meet for Jon Walton's runs and got into it pretty big time headed back into Newark. I'm sure it was GT2 as he pulled over in front of us. 99 % sure it was new model.-Bob
Maybe a new GT3? The new GT3's are cosmetically a lot like the 996 GT2's i believe. Either way, cool spot.
No my good buddy Jon Walton had a GT3 which he just traded in and I have ridden in front or behind that car for many miles. Also I drove behind this other Porsche for a few minutes including stopped at redlights, 5 feet away. Clearly said GT2.
Drew-Any possibility this might have been a new one that was being taken to somewhere for a show or test or something. It was right off I-95. Like I said the car didn't even have state vehicle tags and looked different then the pictures of the older GT2 I have seen. Like I said I don't know much about Porsches, but this one was very special.--Bob

black/dark blue bentley arnage this afternoon filling up at the shell station on PA ave in wilmington. also yesterday, a silver aston vantage on rt 48 turning onto centerville road.
anyone on here or know anyone with an exotic or custom car driving on Rt. 209 yesterday through Brodheadsville, PA? My girlfriend was outside Pleasant Valley High School and said an extremely exotic looking car drove by, had dual exhuast with 4 tips on each side, had a very nice blue paint, very low, and said "Ferrari Enzo" on the side of it. Said it sounded like nothing she heard before too, but i dont recall any Enzo's being painted blue. any one have any info on this? I thought maybe a kit car but she said it looked too well done for one and didnt sound like one at all, sounded very exotic. I just dont recall seeing a blue Enzo with Ferrari Enzo written down the side of it. Please let me know! oh yeah saw that red Lotus Elise again
Hey Bob, I saw a silver GT2 on i95 North at 9:15, a bit up from the Newark exit-- if I had to guess I'd say it's the same one you saw. It was a 996, and I really find it hard to believe the 997 could possibly be found in the states wearing production garb. -Joe
Joe-That sounds about right. That car was very nice though, but I think I would rather have had Jons. The GT2 looked too much like some other Porsches, but the GT3 RS is more distinct IMO. Bob
I don't think the Enzo says Enzo anywhere on the side. I could be wrong, but have never noticed the name anywhere.-Bob
Take Jon's former '3, grab a widebody, and shove two turbos in there... and it's a GT2. I'll take one any day of the week over a three!* *For a street AND track car.
