I am looking for an independent shop, within the Deer Park area, that is familiar with a Porsche 930 Turbo.

Farnbacher Loles in CT - Call there and speak to Spencer Cox - one of the greatest Porsche Mechanics in the World, he has been on many race prep teams, and personally rebuilt my 1988 Porsche 911 Turbo Slant Cabriolet to absolute perfection!!! (If you call him tell him Seth referred you)

    Good Luck

    Thanks Seth and Kenny

I forgot to mention that the car is a driver. It is just an average car. What I am looking for, is originality and an unhit body. I want to restore a car.

Thanks for your help and assistance. Huntington Park is about ten miles from D.P. ?

I'm pretty sure that Spencer Cox used to own Speedsport Tuning in Norwalk, CT. Shop has a good reputation for tuning 951's

T & S Motorworks-Copiague 631-842-1653 Works mostly on Porsches. He has several Porsche race cars in his shop. Copiague is not far from Cannillo. The black turbo seems like a nice car. Cannillo I have found to be staight forward. Bought my Lotus from him. Doug S. bought his Mondial also from Cannilo.

Lynmor Motors would be your best bet for anything concerning 930's. Chris is no longer the owner. The new owners, Tim and Richie, have worked there for many years and have a combined knowledge that would be very hard to beat.

That explains why the Lynmor cars made it through the weekend during the PCA instructor's weekend at Pocono... Richie has bailed me out of situations before. He's a good dude.

Farnbacher is the best (but they seem to not want to answer emails -- I keep trying to buy stuff via email and never hearing back) but CT is not NEAR Deer Park...

Kevin Murphy in Babylon is one of the best 930 techs in the area. He is factory trained and has been working on them since they were new. His company is Porsche Spoken Here. He is also very accomodating so you should look him up and give him a call. He is listed in the Porsche Post if you get the club newsletter.

Taso may be excellent but the TKX reputation has taken a real slide over the last 6 months. There are more than a few f-Chatters whose cars are worse off AFTER being at TKX. Cross these guys off the list.

One buddy had his bonnet cable broken, a ding in his rear wing all as a result of a major service. And it was all denied by them. Funny, but the car had been freshly painted, and the bonnet worked before they got the car; hmmm.

Another got his car back with a glued dizzy cap (!), cut dizzy cap boots, and the car didn't run for _hit. I'm sure there are more stories.

RPM racing. Russ is a good guy. I bring my Porsches and Ferrari to him. There are always many Porsches there including some track ones, old, new, GT3 etc. Russ is a real car guy and knows his _hit. He's the only one that I let bring my car back to my house. His only problem is this time of year, he's really busy. Make the appointment now.
