    greetings everyone -

wanted to give an update on my 612's audio / nav / radar work. well, it's finished and beyond anything i've ever heard, seen or imagined.

first of all - thanks to everyone who connected me with Kevin Wright. words cannot express the creativity and professionalism with which he approaches his work. everything was covered, clearly and absolutely each detail was met perfectly. i cannot endorse him enough.

the fit and finish of his work is also incredible - totally clean install - no surprises - no rattles, squeaks or other various unwanted noises. no engine noise - car was immaculately detailed and re-delivered to my door, "almost" on time :)

system includes: Pioneer Z2 DVD / NAV, 6 disc changer, all new speakers, including a new location different than factory (see kickpanel photos), Audisson amplification, iPod link, XM w / navTraffic, Sirius, and of course, front and rear radar with display in rear-view mirror (amazingly trick...)

also, a full-frontal shot of "Valentina" after the complimentary detail Kevin provides. i know a lot of people don't like the way the 612 looks: many of those have never seen one in person. it is such an amazing car - the perfect blend of both worlds - power and luxury and huge, huge FUN!!!

it sounds friggin' unreal - yes, that's a 12" sub - first CD was DarkSideOfTheMoon - Ferrari Space Travel!!!

it's hard to imagine anyone doing better, more quality and more creative work than Kevin Wright. Thanks so much Kev: another one "done Wright"!!!

    cheers everyone

Great fit and finish on that custom job, I'm sure you're very happy with the results. Great choice of amps btw; Audison really makes some good, clean power.

Congrats on such a fine job. I will be getting my 612 in September in Switzerland.

Who is Kevin Wright and what is his address or website. Can you tell me how much would the radar job cost roughly speaking.

hey thanks for the kind words, everyone...

as the components and speakers break in, the sound is becoming absolutely lush and full; so far beyond the "no highs, no lows...it must be a Bose!!!" between the Becker and the Bose, i can't believe what i was settling for in a car this luxurious. no matter what type of music i'm listening to: from Pink Floyd to Mozart, from Eno to Frank Sinatra, from UB40 to U2....clean, amazing pure music. haven't even explored it's upper-volume range...the 12" sub is bone-rumbling...

Kevin mounted a small button on the underside of the steering column; it's a multi-function button that either mutes, controls volume, or turns on/off the laser-shifting function. totally stealth - this detection system rocks!!! to do just the laser is probably between 2-3k depending on car.

as far as Novitec wheels - it's in the future, for sure! for now, however, i am still pinching myself that i get to drive this car everyday.

yes - everyday. i promised you all i'd be the first to 100k!!! surprised i haven't been spotted in the thread yet!

    cheers to everyone!

I'd research the Novitec wheels some more, as far as wheel manufactures go I'm not so sure they're that good I remember them being very heavy and used silly spacers on the 550's. They have one size fits most offset.

I'd look into Fikse, HRE or CCW's. They make the right offset and build a wheel that is strong and light.

hi everyone - yes, thanks....it is an amazing install, thanks to the wizard Kevin "Done" Wright :)

i'm happy with my wheels...not lookin' for an upgrade there.

the speakers are Morels. amazing dynamic range - also a 12" sub. no distortion, even at crazy volumes...

i'm especially enjoying the 80gig iPod set on shuffle, and the "chill" station on XM, and "symphony hall" on Sirius. the CD changer is actually barely used at this point!

    happy driving and drooling,

    john

Looks great, bet it sounds better! Awesome choice on the first CD - saw Roger Waters performing DSOTM two months ago and it was great. Almost as good as the PF show of '94, in fact. :)
