A pic of a Miura S which has an Ireland sticker as well as what appears to be a period Irish Number Plate.

Its pictured at the Auto Italia Spring Italian car day at Brooklands www.italiaspeed.com/2007/events/auto_italia_brooklands/gallery_lamborghini/gallery.html

Might be a UK registration; that combination was likely available in both countries, but in the UK that number would be from a much earlier period than the car.

Although Ireland is a rich country now, in the 70's Ireland was very poor and a Miura would have been extremely rare. Wonder if it was an Irish car?

Hey, I think I passed that shop every day during summer school in '89 and saw many Countaches and Panteras. Now I know why.
    Is it still there?

As far as I am aware rears are 345/15. Not sure of the profile as they were Avon which had a Dunlop tread pattern cut into them. Fronts are 245/15 and spare likewise (what you would do with a flat rear, I guess, is to hide it in the nearest field and come back later to collect it!)

Figures on the tyres are Front 2.5/27.0-15 and Rear 9.5/25.0-15 just in case that means anything

    You guys see this...

Jay Leno and his 1969 Miura "S" video!! Great

I did not know there was a "bleed off" valve for the cooling system. Also watch what he calls Valentino....HA HA

AND he drives it "like a daily driver" NOT just a few miles on Sunday...THIS GUY is right on NO GARAGE QUEENS!!

IMO these "S" cars are just the sex of the line, love it with the eyelashes..narrower rear end..small marker side lights..matching hweels and tires.....but to each his own

This is the only Miura SV that still remains with its original official Lamborghini dealer from new (imagine that, the only unsold SV extant). Collected in late 1971 the concessionaire drove it home from the factory and still has it with just a few thousand km on the clock. It has recently been removed from long-term storage and refurbished so the elderly owner can enjoy it a bit more...

Along with ensuring the rear hood latch is locked before take-off, occasionally utilizing the bleed-off valve is just a part of hands-on experienced Miura ownership that makes these cars so enjoyable.

Cool video of our Jay Leno who stopped counting how many cars he has in his Burbank warehouses when the number reached 60 about 10 years ago. As he has said he likes to use them every day. This actually means he selects a different car each day and takes the long way home to Beverly Hills (10 miles?). Then the next day he drives to NBC does the show then back to the garage for a different car. By process of rotation, some of the cars dont get driven but once every couple of months or so.

Jay now has an in-house restoration facility, and nowadays his cars are showing up at events like Pebble Beach and winning awards. His Miura S (which he spotted in Canada whilst doing a show 20 years ago) has been completely restored by him in recent years to a pretty high standard and re-painted orange. It used to be red and in 'driver' condition, but when I saw it post-restoration I was very impressed with the results.
The yellow P400 was purchased off the Martin's driveway (Dean Martin of Rat Pack fame) where Dino Martin had left it for 20 years after cracking the sump driving at top speed over a speed bump on the way to school! (so says Leno himself). Jay has restored this car completely also, including re-manufacture of part of the car's chassis. The P400 also used to be in what I would describe as 'tired' condition, but these days its looking quite nice indeed.

Nice video, obviously the Miura is one of his "favorites".
