Congratulations to Joe Guggenheim for Platinum and yours truly for a Platinum. Congratulations also to John Collins in his Gold winning 348.The 550 class had a good showing. Nice to meet Robbie and Ron from South of the Mason Dixon line. Bob as usual you and Josh are great company. Joe thanks for hooking us up with a knowledgeable local to get us final directions and it was nice to meet your family. Thanks to Algar and Francis for touring everyone up. We got a little lost because we chose to delay our departure due to the threat of rain but even though we arrived a little late they judged us anyway. Here are some more selections from the show. Lastly thanks to Pietro for putting on another great event. Jon in Delaware

I was told by a judge that you would be happy with the results. He mentioned that he was given your class after there was an unfortunate mixup with judging your class. That is why there was a delay getting to you.

    cheers

You sound bitter that your model car was never a star on a TV show. I know there weren't 45 silver 308s there.... :) Hate the game not the player. :)

No, your right there were only 3 silver 308's that looked like clones of each other---But only ONE 98 Yellow/Black 355F1, one 99 Yellow/Black GTS and one 99 Yellow/Black GTB

I did the Magnum thing with the 328 already...:D

What a great turnout at Reading! I had already seen an Enzo, 288 GT0 and F40 (I definitely don't mind seeing them again). But I've always wanted to see an F50 and to see one in Yellow, what a beautiful sight. I don't Blame Robert and "285Ferrari" one bit for purchasing yellow F-cars. They are truely beautiful.

The highlight for me was after taking a picture of my son in front of the F50, the owner came up to him and said "Would you like to sit in it?" I prayed to dear God, that now wouldn't be one of his moments that he would invoke his independence and say "No." I was relieved to hear him say "Yes." Here's a pic of him in it.

To the owners of the F50 (I seriously hope you're F-Chatters) you are the nicest and most gracious people!! My son still hasn't stopped talking about sitting in your car. The first thing he said to his Baby Sitter this morning was "I got to sit in a Yellow Ferrari!!" A sincere "Thank You" from my son and me too!!

Seeing an F50 is such a rare treat. That yellow really accentuates the lines of that particular model.

I'm glad Chris posted in this thread. It gives me a good opportunity to thank him for his 11 straight hours of work he put in on Saturday resurrecting the black paint on my 1968 365 GT 2+2. I brought home a platinum award due, I am sure, in no small part to his work. More than any judging I have ever been subjected to, the particular judges I had yesterday were fanatical about condition, panel gaps/fit, etc. (at least for vintage, hand-made cars where panel fit was poor when they left the factory; just my humble opinion).

I also have to say that it has been a very, very long time since I have seen the kind of work ethic and extreme care put into personal services work than what I witnessed Chris do on Saturday. He worries me, though, with his "detailer's lunch" of Red Bull and Pop Tarts!! I know there would be improvement to the old paint, but the transformation was truly unbelievable.

    Thank You, Chris!!

For those of you enjoying Ken's photos, we have more, compiled in a very nice date book. He has carefully collected photos, and cataloged many of the exotic car events that are happening over the next several months.

    It's on www.fchatstuff.com

If you would like to see more, it's right HERE!!!

It's a great piece, for not a whole lot of money.
