Not sure what kind of details you're looking for. If you want VIP, just get a first class round trip ticket to Paris. Reserve a suite at a nice hotel. Hire a helicopter to take you back and forth to Le Mans for the 2 or 3 days. Or what I did last June: Take a cheap train to Le Mans. Arrive at the gare, and cross the street to the Galaxie hotel. Check in, and eat at the restaurant in front. Then find the shuttle service that goes from town to the track (on the outskirts) during race days. Hey Joe - you going to be there??? We get into CDG on Thursday and take the 1:30 TGV to Le Mans. We don't do vip as the extra costs constitute another trip to another race. You can always join the ACO and do Club 24. Regarding getting a room at the Galaxie - FORGET IT! They are full a year in advance, most others require a week's stay. We're staying at a hotel adjacent to Gare Montpatrense (sp) and taking TGV as a commute means to Le Mans. TGV tickets can be purchased via the website (www.raileurope.com)and they are really quick about getting them to you. . .TGV also requires a reserved seat ($11 extra). When we arrive in Le Mans on Saturday morning we are there for the duration and catch the last train to CDG on Sunday night at stay at the Sheraton (a bit pricey this year 499 Euro) but it's well worth the convenience of going up two esclators to the lobby and out the door and to the right to the airline ticket counter. We purchase our race tickets a year in advance and are in the Lagache (19) tribune adjacent to the ACO tribune. Our tickets are purchased thru www.justtickets.co.uk - great folks to deal with - they also have a helo flight for 109 GBP pp, exceptional offering is the 25 GBP pp bus excursion Saturday night to Arnage and Mulsanne.....it would be a nightmare to try on your own unless you really know your way around. My take is why get a hotel room and sleep on Saturday night as some of the best racing is in the wee hours of the morning. Dawn at the Dunlop curve is awesome. Three am on the ferris wheel is a great way to watch the action. Drivers parade is Friday in town . . .one of the team members from Flying Lizard gave us a great suggestion for watching the parade.
