Come on guys, Michael Vick IS a role model. A bong smokin', rule breakin', airport security avoidin', dog fightin' role model. Just look how good his little brother turned out!

 

I've never understood why we make athletes seem so great in this country. There are some who are outstanding people, but then there are people like Vick. If we took away his ability to run, he'd be a huge waste of space on this earth.

 

In other words, he'd be in prison.

 

Thankfully, all you guys seem to get it just fine.

I think Portis sounded like a moron while voicing his opinion about dog fighting, but I think he's gutless for lacking the grit to at least stand behind his views.

Here's the latest:

Hours after making light of the possible crime in the television interview, Portis issued a statement late Monday through the Redskins.

"In the recent interview I gave concerning dog fighting, I want to make it clear I do not take part in dog fighting or condone dog fighting in any manner," the statement said.

I heard a clip on the radio this morning where a reporter asked Vick if he would be exonerated when this was all over. He replied "No comment" after a bit of a pause. You could tell he had no idea what exonerated meant. Priceless.

 

Then again, he also makes $10 million a year in salary, so I wouldn't care if I knew what exonerated meant.
