I know I'v asked this before but to all the people who didnt read it, when I'm on the street and see an exotic I get a picture of it, then post the pictures on car-parazzi.com , I'm 14 and most people dont mind me taking pictures, but like the other day I took some pictures of a sweet F430 at the galeria, they guy didnt look that happy, would you get mad if I took a picture of your ferrari, or exotic car?, I usually tell them I'm going to put them on the internet and if they say they dont want me to put, it I dont, I'v met some really nice guys, one let me sit in it, no rides offered yet, a lot of the kids in Cali that take pictures also get offered rides, well just wanted to ask, I mean it is because I love nice cars so much and starting to like photography, and thats the only way to take pictures of nice cars, please respond, thank you

    Do you ask permission?

Do you block out the license plate before you publish it?
If not, the responsible thing would be to do so. I know people can see it when its being driven, but its still the right thing to do.

Today I had a guy offer to pay $2.00 to take a picture of my car. I couldn't believe it. I just laughed and said take the picture. I don't care what they do with it. Privacy?...PLEASE! If you want that don't drive an exotic.

I am flattered when people ask about my 328. A new friend posted a picture of it on DFW spotters last weekend. I hope it motivates some younger F Chatters to be motivated and pursue their dreams as did the picture of Magnum's car over my desk when I was in school.

Don't look up to us-join us! We are put out pants on one leg at a time, just like everyone else. Work hard, keep a smile on your face, no matter how hard things might be, and you will be rewarded with happiness and fulfillment well beyond owning a car with a horse on it.

Not to be funny, but if the vehicle is parked in a public place there is no reasonable expectation of privacy. Further, regarding license plates they are a government owned document which is required by law to be affixed to the outside of a motor vehicle for identification purposes, so again there is no reasonable expectation of privacy. My suggestion is that if the guy does not want his car photographed then he should refrain from parking it in public.

That said, I will stipulate to the fact that asking the guy and blocking the license plate would be the polite and gentlemanly way to address the situation.

I like how Ferrarichat is. How all car enthusiasts can interact with each other, owners and other enthusiasts, just all sharing the same passion for nice cars. Personally, I see it as very inspirational. I am also fourteen and like to take pictures of exotics and other high end cars that I might see when I get the chance. Just if posting a picture that I took online, I always make sure to blur out plates and faces. Also speaking of which, I always keep a good distance from the car when snapping a few pics. I just think that having that respect is the best thing to do.

I've never discouraged people from taking pictures of my car, quite the opposite. I remember the 2nd day I owned it, I was buying gas in the Middle Of Nowhere, New Mexico, and a kid at the gas station leaped out of his moms mini van and started taking pictures. I opened the door, told him to get in, and took a picture of him in the car. He asked me what I did to get the car, and I told him the truth. I stayed in school, got a decent job, and I saved my money. I started saving when I was 18 and bought it for my 40th birthday. I could've done it sooner, but I was single for a long time and needed some of my income to maintain my lifestyle! ;)

If I see someone taking a picture I will slow down or position myself at a stop light and give them a better shot. Like Jim and Dr. John, I think its a good idea to encourage the enthusiasm.

Some get upset with license plate numbers being posted on the net. Block them out and you should be good to go.

    No problem.

If you follow two simple rules - a) Don't touch/scratch the car while taking pics and b) Mask the license plates - there shouldn't be any grounds for objection.

I once walked out of my office and there was a white trash ghetto girl with barely anything on, and her long haired hippy boyfriend taking provocative photos on the hood.

I told them it was ok.

    There you go kiddo.
Looks like everyone says roughly the same thing.
Ask if the owner is around and think about blocking out the plate if you're going to publish it.

You ever see me in one of mine come say hi. I'll give you that ride you've been waiting for.

Custom plates are the only ones that I don't know whether to blur or not. Typically I would think that custom ones would not mind them being showed seeing how they personalized them. Many people notice plates that say something. Anyhow, I'd make sure to post pics without the custom license plate blurred if I saw your car.:);)

If only if I were in Houston. . . . . .:D I'm lusting for my first Ferrari ride. Really, I like how many great owners seem to be out there. I would only want to be as generous and share the passion with others as many owners on here do.

    Allright here's the deal...

You have to do 2 things:

I'm sure there are some nice guys in San Antonio. You start a thread with the title "14 year old wants ride in San Antonio" and I'll bet one of the guys will respond and give you a ride.

If not, I get to San Anton every month or 6 weeks. I was just there this past weekend. Usually I drive one of the Fcars.
The next time I'm in town I'll give you a ride ONLY if you have one of your parents there that says it is ok AND you do some extra chores for your Mom.

    Deal?
