16 yo with an LP640 ...

Looks like 4 kids standing in front of an LP640.

 

If he is 16 yo and truly owns the car then why not?

Its a passion for us so why not be a passion for him?

 

If it was/is really his, then congrats and treat it right. So long as he drives responsibly and not like some idiot, then I'm happy for him. A friend of mine was driving his dad's 98 and 99 Vipers everyday at the age of 16. He even went out to the drag strip constantly with his father and always beating him, lol. He grew up around quick cars(vettes, vipers, high hp vehicles, etc). So it wasn't like it was something really out of the ordinary for him, didn't have the need to try impressing people by acting a fool....

 

Apparently the Car was given to the girl in black by her dad.

Would you give your 16yo a 640hp car ?

If they were responsible and knew how to drive it properly...or...if I didn't like them.. Hopefully track lessons were included in this gift. She will also be getting asked out on alot more dates.

Its all relative. In the Middle East a fair few 16-year-old Princes and princesses get new Lamborghinis regularly.
Not saying its a good idea, but its possible this particular girl grew up around her dad's cars, is a total tomboy, is a championship kart-racer etc etc. Who knows, she might have been helping her dad change the oil since she was 10! (I know my 15-year-old is all of the above, not saying Im getting him an LP640 next year though. LOL). The fact is, all it takes is money to get an LP640, and apparently, she's got one!

I hope this is not another cannidate for that show on MTV called ( My Super Sweet Sixteen), were spoiled kids have parents that will weight on them hand an foot.

However, the thought of letting my daughter drive a Ford GT of CS is such a funny idea that I could possiably be talked into it (As long as she comes up with the money to pay for her higher education).

 

lol, 16 is the age of consent in several states (i.e. Alabama). 16 is the age of consent here in FL, but the other person has to be under 24. Know the laws. Only you can prevent forest fires!

btw, good luck to her. She's fortunate to have a car like that. Shouldn't be too hard to drive given it's awd and most likely E-gear. It's not like she's driving a Countach, which I hear is a pita to drive.

Part 1: To everyone getting their panties in a bunch over rmk's comment. Lighten up, geez. And I'm sure all of you getting all PC never once found any of these hollywood girls like lohan and company the least bit sexually appealing until you were sure she was 18 right? (feel the strong aura of sarcasm) It's the internet. he made an internet comment in passing. Not like he put his arm around her trying to put the moves on her or anything.


Part 2(otherwise known as on topic): I'd buy my 16 yr old son an LP640 or anything else if I could afford it and he's been living up to what I want him to be. There are a lot of things I'm not able to enjoy in life right now(I'm 24) because I'm not rich nor are my parents so if I'm able to some day be the position to have my kid experience things I could not at that age, I'm not going to deny him that.

 

^Regarding Part 2, if I had the money, I'd be teaching my kid (boy or girl) to drive from age 10. Of course not on public roads, but to give them some experience on the limit of cars and just for fun on the track. Would I get them an LP460 even I was a billionaire? Hell no.
