And... here are some of the pics from last weekend's Cornes Festival, which is the annual event held by the agent for Ferrari in Japan. Similar to last year, it was held at Fuji Speedway, the venue for this year's Japan F1 race. Amongst the numerous F40s, Enzos and Challenge cars, there were also three F1 cars and two FXX's.

Awesome ! THe Veyron looks so tacky compared to the Ferraris.

    I love the Silver F50.

    Great pics..

Hey, can you give me some advice on what to see car-wise when in Japan?

We plan to go to the Matsuda collection, and maybe up to the Honda museum, I'd like to see the robot ASIMO.. and a 'maid cafe' because that sounds pretty different.

    cheers,
    Greg

I wish I could be of more help, but when it comes to cars, I only know of the Matsuda collection, Fuji Speedway, and a bunch of exotic car showrooms in Meguro (Tokyo). Didn't even know about the Honda museum and haven't been to any 'maid cafe'. As you may be aware, there are many interesting things to do in Japan... one can never finish exploring this country, and being able to speak Japanese will expose us foreigners to many more things here.

Yes, we are doing all the traditional things, and thought we'd see some of the things unique to modern Japan.

    We'll see how we go!

    All the best,
    Greg

No idea. Whatever he did to amass his fortune, it must have been his deep passion that led to success. You need to see his collection of car memorablia to understand how 'insane' this person is about all things car related !

    Nice pics!

Luckily, I've been there for couple times. My last visit was on the early March, but unfortunately the museum was closed due to season holidays. IMO, it is a good attraction when coming to Japan!

Glad you guys like the pics. Matsuda-san was also at the Cornes Fest, racing around in a 360 Challenge. Not sure how old he is but I can only hope to be going so strong at his age !

Lung, if you're seeing this..... didn't know you come to Japan so often ? Next time you're in town, please be sure to give me a call.

Lastly, here's a picture of an office carpark in Tokyo.
As we gaijins in Japan often say, only in Japan !

Oh my, do these cars belong to a group of owners working in the same building? That is amazing!

Yes, all in the same building. I believe the Enzo and Carrera GT belong to the same guy who has a large collection. Just behind that wall, is a 550 Barchetta too.

    Railroads.

There is an owner that will often leave an Enzo parked in Aoyama very near the Cambodian embassy. Take a gander over there and you'll also see a nice collection in that garage.

Unfortunately not. I only recall seeing one 612 (white) that arrived fairly late, but I didn't catch any pictures of it. It was raining quite hard that day so I left earlier than planned.
