Spring Spotters Thread

Heading north on the Kennedy just after 4 PM; driving rain, I'm on the Metra. A silver Gallardo on a flatbed was stuck in traffic and very wet. Then a mile ahead was a yellow Gallardo on a flatbed, stuck in traffic and very wet. Who was moving two Gallardos on open flatbeds???

Nice silverstone 430 coupe heading east on Monroe at Wacker about 1/2 hr ago.

 

Yellow TR northbound on LSD yesterday.

Today a London cab on the inner drive. Seriously. It looked so out of place, it was funny. The meter probably read 3 gazillion pounds...

 

I saw a white Flying Spur yesterday at ~5:30 heading southbound on 53 near Woodfield.

 

Last night a Mercedes SUV with a huge camera arm mounted on top of it on Wabash. Was the director's car for a chase scene of the new Angelina Jolie/Morgan Freeman movie "Wanted".

Also spotted in the Loop: The Wiener mobile. I hope both sigthings are unrelated.

 

I saw the wiener mobile at ~7:30 heading west on I90 near Roselle Rd.

 

I noticed some trucks that looked like film production stuff opposite the Hyatt on Wacker the other day. Do you know if they're related?

Also saw a black 360 pull out from its parking garage last night, made all the right noises.

 

I know the "Players Club" owners/players through racing....Jesus they got green and taste! They line up about 5 Porsche GT3's at the track and then always have something cool they drove there....Last week was a black/orange GT3 RS, this week a black Lamborghini Gallardo with black wheels....I'll take a pic tomorrow if its there, hell something better will probably be there...

Yup, all for the same production. It is a standing army of trucks and people they had there over the weekend. Looked like the car scene was a night scene with dramatic lighting underneath Wabash. Also lots of extras. I was walking by them when they were auditioning.

 

so i'm sitting in my computer room listening to the cub/sox game when i hear a distictive "purring" sound outside. i look out the window of my house and there's a red/tan 360 spider driving down my street! (spring creek/spring brook, rockford illinois)

Yesterday, when I was on my way to Gurnee.. I saw lots and lots of Porsches and Corvettes. The best one I have spotted though is a Ferrari 328 (I'm not sure) parked in front of a boating store/rentals at IL-120.

 

not exactly sure what kinda ferrari it was but it looked like a 250 spider but im sure it wasnt. saw that on york rd. in hinsdale then saw a yellow 360 with challenge grill on rt.59 today

 

Saw a yellow Aston Martin V8 Vantage on Oak St, had a Ohio BKRPTCY plate. The yellow wasn't quite as yellow as the Ferrari color.

Also saw at least 2 Maserati Quattroporte Sport GTs.

I think I would rather have the Maserati.




I also saw a newish black Viper, XK, a few Flying Spurs.

 

Tony's red 360 Spider yesterday at the beach along with the man tanned and wrapped in gold. Apparently summer is back!

My neighbor bought a Panoz in the offseason. It's a pretty sweet car, but since I see it every day I'm beginning to get bored...

The Cobra on Lake cook and Skokie a few mns later. Not sure if its the real deal ? Second time i see him.

Very cool blue Gallardo on Milwaukee Ave, Libertyville today.

 

I haven't seen that 430 around, but i live near there. hopefully one of my neighbors...

yea

 

I live there too. I have seen 2/3 F430s parked at the starbuck and a black 575.

 

i've seen 360 spiders and both a black and grey maranello in downtown glencoe as well.
