Earlier this morning I was priased with 7 ferraris cruising past me on the southern motorway... I was in heaven

some numberplates that I remember were 'HY RED' on a 355, 'NMNMNM' (something like that) on a 355, 'I 360' and 'MY 4RE' can't remember which one this was on.

    3 355s
    1 testarossa
    1 360
    1 430
    1 348

The only good car I saw at the airport was a Merc E63 AMG.

Went to 'Fazazz - The Motorists Shop' and there was a Ferrari Tesarossa and a 356 GTB/4 'Daytona'. Didnt see any other F-cars but there was a black Quattroporte down Colombo Street. Saw a champagne silver DB9 as well :D

It's rooted; but would still make a good parts donor if you owned a plain jane 360. No doubt some back yard Mario will overpay for it.

the car was being used as a wedding car.
The owner took the groom for a ride before the wedding and flipped it.

from what I was told no one was hurt and the wedding went ahead.
I don't know which car was used as a replacement, if any.
The owner does have a few to choose from.

Great turn out yesterday, mainly older cars which is good to see and probably the best Mondial 8 on the planet! Plate is ROSSO which fits pretty well too, didn't getv a chance to get pics but will do another time. Weather held for the run north, Peter got nabbed by boys in blue just outside Auckland but with quick and witty banter got away. Not so for John, clocked at 147 kph (he says nearer 152) so 28 days with no licence and big fine. :D Best bit was when the wife (who has never driven the car) pulled away from the cop car, she mistook the throttle for the brake and wheelied for 30 metres in the gravel! Didn't see the reaction but fled anyway!
The story of the 'mint' 9000 km glass 308 get better and better. Not 9000 km, not mint by any standard, repainted in 03 (the newpaper used as masking still in the engine bay!), interior colour changed, loads of bits missing, all bushes/pipes/hoses totally knacked, oh yes, bent at the front and rust in the chassis! The dealer is insisting that all is OK and threatening all sorts of mischeif to the buyer. Concensus of opinion is that the dealer is a real **it and it will only cost $45,000 to rectify the problem!!! (and then of course its a car with no history) Next months run is the kids charity day....(June 10th) the more cars we have the bigger the smiles on the kids faces, and thats what its all about!

Boy, glad I didn't come yesterday. "There but for the grace of god... " and all that. Would that be Mr Pin you're talking about?

This afternoon a black soft-top Ferrari passed me. It was heading north on the motorway, just before the Papakura off-ramp. Number plate was TOSSSA or something similar. I started laughing when I read the plate.

Nice find. I remember reading on Stuff a while back how his car was in an underground car park in Auckland that was flooded...poor car.
