Sounds very much like affective schitzophrenia too with a touch of synergism.

I have some color/shape issues with sounds and tend to find myself obsessing about radiation (of both matter(as sound) and energy).

Yup. There was a program on Discovery Channel on this guy and other savants. Not a gift I would trade my stupidity for... There is bliss in ignorance which makes me a very happy guy, indeed!

That's pretty awesome since he doesn't really have any disabilities that normally come with something like that.

Funny, I have a photographic memory of faces.

Not the best with numbers though...

There are many people with Asperger's Syndrome who don't function at anything like the level this guy does (nor is it a massive burden on them like most autism sufferers).

I've seen this before, I'm still amazed he learned Icelandic in a week and can recite pi to 3000 times as many digits as I can.

Asperger's Syndrome isn't as big a problem as one may think...although it clearly does variate from person to person. Some people can't socialize with it, nor drive while others can function at a high level, with just a few social quirks here and there. While it is autistic in nature, it's not near the same disability. Many people can go their whole lives with it, and their friends may never know they even have a disability.

How do I know?? I have Asperger's syndrome, and Im going to grad school and I autocross my car, scuba dive etc...Disability? HA!
