Haha, yes. The interior is very well done, like a nice house of that style would be. The whole club is 38,000 square feet. They do have a big garage... but it's full of golf carts.
Any pictures of the interior? I don't really have a favorite type of architecture. I can like almost any style as long as it's done right.
That looks similar to the architectural style I normally do for the homes I design in Scottsdale, AZ. We do more of a mix of stucco / stone, but otherwise is a similar additive / aged style of old European farm house style. Funny how the little / no overhang has become so popular for the hot / arid climates. You would think the people that are going to use these places would prefer some relief from the sun. But what do I know, I just draw what they want. Some of my houses are the ones listed for sale / sold on this web page: http://www.buydesertmountain.com/spechomes.htm BT
There's a new private residence here in Dallas that resembles this very closely...not quite as big though. It's closeby, I'll get some pics and post. BT...nice work. I only had one opportunity to work in the "desert aesthetic"...about 25 years ago the firm I was working for did a large authentic adobe ranch house just outside Santa Fe, and I was on the project team. Client was an early high-tech entrepreneur, who passed away young, in his mid 50's.
Thanks. Most of my clients are around 50ish. These midwestern clients are much more pleasant to deal with than the northeast client that is typical to South Florida. It makes it kind of fun to work on something that is good to very good... No more stucco boxes with bands around the windows. Those Florida commercial projects were making me crazy! BT
Hey BT, my parents live in Scottsdale... anyhow just wondering whats a custom cost out there... say 10k sq ft Mediterranean on 1.5 acres (just for the house though, not the lot). Is it around $250-$300 sq ft... not talking imported marble and stuff like that either, just nice custom...
it is clearly designed to look like a tuscan hill town. a pretty good job of it too. i had to look twice to see it is new not old and italian. tom w
Just watching the MotoGP race from Mugello, they showed the city / town from the air at the start of the program, the town and this club look very similar. Took a while to find a picture, I think this is one http://www.internationalaccommodation.com/GlobalImages/Articles/2154-IA.jpg
