Thanks Felipe for hanging in there and giving some points to Ferrari and keeping yourself in the points. Glad this street course is over and back to real race circuits. Carol
That race put me to sleep in Florida. It was 8:30 am. I saw the last 4 laps. Mclaren dominated and Kimi just couldn't get in the game.
Parce Ferme looks like our garage! one RED FERRARI and two Mercedes ! ! Lewis WILL BEAT Alonso. Terrific showing from a VERY talented guy who told Ron Dennis that he wanted to drive for him and got a contract at age 13. (My friend Allan was signed by Ron at age 17). On to Canada - hopefully it will be Ferrari on the top set of the podium. Carol
Scott Speed faster than Kimi at the end of the race with iffy brakes. Finished in 9th behind Kimi. Scott had his best race. Speed went from 19th to 9th (+10). Kimi went from 15th yo 8th (+7). Will Speed be taking over Kimi's place at SF? LOL At least Kimi got a point. He really has to start focusing on racing. Did anyone else hit the wall in qualifying?
It DOES look like all the Kimi people would be eating a pack of crows soon. Kimi just plain sucks this season. I mean it took 0 courses for Alonso to adjust to a new team, WTH is going on with the Finn? He just doesn't seem motivated anymore. Jenson Button 2 more like.
wake me when it's over. oh, it is over. (in more ways than one) i don't recall monaco being this boring. very dissapointed in Kimi. joe
Kimi did exactly as I had feared -- nothing of note. Gotta throw out accolades to Scott Speed, who finally got a car that would finish the race. I sure wish Hamilton had been given the green light to go after Alonso The rookie is the Real Thing
Ferrari will have some serious homework to get back into the Constructor's Championship (20 behind) - Felipe just needs to hang in there for the Driver's Championship (Alonso and Lewis tied at 38 and Felipe at 35) and sorry Kimi supporters - I think he's out of the game! Carol
Did anyone see the black yacht that they showed right before the interviews. I dot think it was the WP118, but I would be interested in knowing what it was. Did anyone see it or can you tivo and take a screen shot?
Call the cops!! Disappointing, I'm fearing no WCC for the Horse this season I'm hoping Mc's utter dominance was just a one time show.
As much as I have loved this race in the past, this race had very little to offer in modern F1. As far as F1, unless something changes, F1 in Monaco is a dinosaur that should be dropped in favor of some much better tracks. Let's face it - Monaco is kept as a mere courtesy.
After an auspicious start with a win, Kimi is headed south. 10,6,6,0,1 and is 10 pts behind Massa. I am waithing for Kimi to get used to the team and start performing. Did anyone else hit the wall during qualifying? Hang in there Felipe...5 pts behind the co-leaders.
Monaco is a cool event, but I have never really enjoyed watching it, as there is virtually no passing and Ferrari hasn't done well in the last few years. Lewis has never raced in Montreal or Indy, so maybe the Scuderia can have some better luck next weekend. Remember, Kimi did very well two weeks ago when testing the "Montreal" layout of Paul Ricard. Let's hope for a BIG rebound from the Finn. One of the McLaren's due a DNF.
IMO Monaco is one of the best and most technically tracks in the F1. Kimi was sleeping thru the whole race. It was s a joke. Massa was doing the best he can.
