....But I was wondering if any of you gentleman have any info on the owner of the silver McLaren F1 that's supposed to be located down south in Texas?

From what I've found, it's supposed to be owned by Carl Beal in Midland, Texas (though seen in Austin), with the license plate M LAREN. I've also found out his is silver and was featured twice in R&T.

I did hear there was a second F1 that sported the aero-kit, but that the owner died of cancer and the car was taken elsewhere westward.

Anyways, just wondering, since you guys are the exotic owners, that you might know or have any info on this McLaren.

    Thanks for any answers.

I know many things about this car.

It has 5 wheels if you include the steering wheel!

    It goes in reverse!

    It has seating for 3!

Must wear a cowboy hat when driving in Texas!

Mr Beal does not own a Mclaren! If he did it would of been repainted red to match his Enzo , that is if he owned an Enzo!

    But what do I know!

There's been extensive talk about this particular car in the Cars forums on Fchat. You can probably narrow down the posts and look and see what writerguy has contributed on the subject.

    Hahah?

And at one time or another, Mr. Beal has owned a McLaren.
    Thanks. :)

I remember seeing the thread somewhere where he was actually painting the McLaren to match the Enzo...John was being sarcastic LamboLover....The McLaren has been my "Eleanor" to quote G60S.....It's the reason I never turn off my phone anymore. One day I just couldn't sleep, although I was dead tired. I worked a graveyard shift that morning and my brother was calling me every 30 minutes just to "see what I was doing." I finally turned off the phone. 4 of the local car guys were constantly calling my phone, including my wife. They all knew what the car meant to me, lol.....I missed seeing it because of this. So I said I'd never shut it off...My friends took A LOT of photos of that and the Enzo that was in for servicing/repairs. They said the owner was a rather nice gentleman and talked to them for a bit....I liked the "God is Awesome" stickers on the Enzo and the history of the statement, although I can't find that article again....dang it...

So, this is also the McLaren with Christianity symbol that looks like a fish on rear?

(Excuse my ignorance. I'm not a religous fellow. :( )

Yeah, it's has the Jesus Fish on the back. It's Red now, not silver. The car stays in Midland but he's been know to drive it all around Texas and even to Aspen Colorado where he also has a home. I hear that his Enzo stays in Kerrville most of the time.

I've never seen it in Austin and never heard about it being in Austin. I wish I would see it here!

    Thanks for the info, Mike.

So I take he's a social man with the car, but not too social?
I appreciate the info anyways. A red F1 would be something to see.

When I saw the Enzo at the dealership, it was cool to see all the small leaves caught in the grill....Knew it was a driver and not a garage queen.

Well, I mean he's social by driving it around a lot, but that social by keeping it in Midland.

If you understand what I mean....

BTW, r0gu3, good to see you again!

Did he ever actually end up painting it red? It's silver in the pictures that I have seen of it on here. That story really bites. . . . I know that I would be extremely upset if I missed something like that just because of a missed call.

It was on car domain and the poster did not have permission to post the photos. A big flame fest started with a bunch of 12 year olds (or adults who acted like they are 12) and the mod's shut it down after I and others complained that Carty didn't want these images posted

I remember people saying that the conditions of the shop were worse than any shop they had ever see, etc..
I thought it was very cool to see such amazing car in pieces all over a normal working garage. I wish I had saved the photos...

If anyone still has the photos it would be awesome if you would email them to me. I won't post them online.

They were better than the conditions of the shop that did some of the work on the FXXs. Most people thought those were kit-cars because the conditions looked so bad.

IT IS A CAR, a mechanics shop not an operating room. Some places are kept super clean and can't do Squat their's is well lived in.

Both Carty and his mechanic are fully qualified Mc F1 Mechanics and they have sat hook up to the factory.
