Sadly, I'm seriously thinking of selling my 355, (can't get that Gallardo Spider out of my mind, LOL) Anyway, can you guys help me price it? Here are the details, 1998 355 Spider, second owner, yellow/black, F1 trans, challenge grill, Kevin Collins mats, 30k service was done a few years ago, has about 35k miles, very much pampered by me, used in warm dry weather only (Easter to Thanksgiving) , garage kept, stored at Classic Coach all winter, CC has done all the servicing, won two trophys, one a Platinum at the annual Ferrari Fall show, brand new CD/radio, the top is temperamental but other than that no real problems, very clean, clean title, no liens, no accidents, no paintwork to my knowledge (although full disclosure one detailer claimed the front bumper appeared to have some very good work done on it prior to my purchase). What do you guys think? Obviously if anyone here is interested you get first dibs before I put it on ebay, etc. Thanks

    Ben

Based on the 30k service being done "a few years ago" I'd say ask $75k and see what types of serious offers come in. The model year definitely works in your favor. The mileage and F1 probably don't. Just my 2 cents.

True, but in the 355s they're commonly known to be even more problematic than the early 360 F1s.

I haven't followed pricing of 355's in a bit so I can't aid you with that.

Good luck with the g-car if you make the jump! Go orange/black/titanium rims

i just bought my wife a 99 F1 spyder with 7K miles and i paid $95K for the car. what kills you on the car is the mileage. i would say you will probably get in the 70'sfor the car . as for the F1 , i don't know about the 98 model year but my 99 shifts better than all my 360's put together specialy the early model years.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. Given the low numbers it's probably worth it to hold onto it and enjoy it for awhile longer.

But to just walk past it everyday in the garage? How maddening is that? It's been just 2 months I haven't driven mine and I'm missing my baby something fierce! What's another 2K miles on it?

    Ben,
I've got a very similar car and I've talked to several people in the past month or so, including Chris M and FoCNJ. If the dealer sells the car, they can probably get $80K-85k (give or take), but if you sell it on your own, and it is as good as it appears, you can realistically get $70k for it (give or take a few grand).

Mine is probably worth over $5k less because of accident history, so I just decided to keep it - after all I've spent on it over the years, I couldn't bear to part with it for so little.

I share your fancy of the new G-Spyder - it is an awesome, beautiful car! If I were choosing a new car now, my only hard decision would not be the car (it would be a Gallardo for sure), but it would be whether to get a hard top or a Spyder ;)

    Best of luck!

Clyde, I think you might have found a possible contender to put in that snazzy newly painted garage...

Perhaps, but I'm no F1 fan, and it's not Red/tan. But certainly I think the mileage is VERY reasonable.
