Just got the Hyper-flow cats installed on my Mondial t Cab - and wow does it sound great!!!! Not much difference below 4500rpm, but above that and it is incredible. Now let's see - no more cat fires (possible), no more thermocouple issues, no more cat ECU issues, no more "Slow Down 1/4" lights and it runs cooler, more horsepower (although I can't feel any) and most of all better sound. Thanks to ROSSO MOTORSPORT in Kansas for the install and to Ricambi for the parts. I would encourage all Mondial t and 348 owners to do this install combo.

I like the Tubi, but I had a Stebro that was nearly as good, and a Borla that was very good as well. Tubi is so much frigg'n money, but I had to at least try it.

How about throttle response? Does it rev "freer" when you blip the throttle when in neutral?

I'm confused... if you got HyperFlow cats, they are STILL catalytic converters, so cat fires ARE still possible, you'd still have a thermocouple, and all engine systems still look at and talk to the cat. Or did you get Hyperflow TEST PIPES?!?

I don't have the ability to do video, but someone in the club might - I will work on it. As for fires, the risk is nearly non-existent. I don't notice any power difference, but it does seem to rev easier and the sound is MUCH improved. I did get the catalytic converters and not the test pipes. In my research I found that they flow nearly as free as test pipes but are legal in all states and will pass emissions.

No, I'm certain this combo is 50 state legal. Test pipes no, but hyperflow's yes. I would think that cat related fires are less likely, but probably no more than if a new OEM cat was in place. Theoretically, they flow much better, I've just installed them with an X-ost on my 328, but I have no way of knowing for sure. I feel there is a bit more throttle response but it could be more what I think will happen than what I feel. I'm sure it sounds fantastic and looks great too, have a great time with it.

I'll second that, fantastic looking car. That is Prugna, correct? How many Prugna coupes, T's or other possibly extist. I'd love a black coupe but a Prugna coupe wouldn't be far behind. Thanks for sharing, sounds great.

Ohhhhh Russ, I will get you for that! :)

Jeff, Thank you man. Prugna it is. I am under the impression it is "1 of one" -as in one of only one Mondial T coupe in the Prugna color in the USA.

Watching these videos I cant even fathom how a Mondial is not thought of as fantastic looking. I consider myself quite lucky to have it.

Wheels and color make a big difference in the car's look with Mondials IMO. Yours are the perfect combo.

    Whoa! Thanks!

I appreciate that coming for a guy that has my preferred color on a 328. I almost bought a silver & tan 308 from a dealer years ago, and I kick myself for not doing so. I think the dealer ended up painting it red :( They are fab in red, but silver drove me batty.

I can tell you for a fact -- from personal experience -- that the HyperFlow cats will catch fire if you pour too much fuel into them just like any other catalytic converter. If you think that you've reduced that risk just by using a high-flow, high performance cat, you're mistaken! Not that they aren't good, but just don't be misled that you're no longer at risk.

The most important reason to get a Hyperflow.. Is this...

This guy tried to sell me this 89 from NY stating that the car had the bumper repainted because it melted.. It was a Car Fire...New York or New Hampshire plates I cant remember.

I tried to upload it if someone can resize it and post it that would be great. We need to track these types of cars with VIN s so people know historys. JJ

Again, a HyperFlow or any high-performance catalytic converter does NOT help prevent against car fires due to raw gas being dumped into a hot cat!

Haven't seen that combo before, would be interesting to see it. I wouldn't normally think silver and tan but I've seen a few other cars with that combo and it does look good. When are you selling? Maybe a trade?

Yeah Dr., when the salesman told me "silver/tan" I was like "excuse me?" and had second thoughts about going to see it, but in person it blew me away. He just could not get enough buyers in to come see it in person after hearing that color combo.

This Mondi of mine is stuck with me for the long term but anyhow, again thank you.
