Hey I'm new to the board and scene. My name is Mike, had a white hat on and was driving with my friend who has the 88 M6. Just want to say that this event was pretty incredible and really enjoyed it. Big thanks to all those that made it happen and participated. It was really nice to meet everyone and spend a day on the road with so many sweet cars. Nice video. My only input is maybe a techno-type, more fast paced track as opposed to rap.

 

Definitely, I'll keep that in mind next time around.

The music was great; the best is that you did not leave out the engine sounds. But....you need to have the 430 spider and the two Murcielagos in there!

 

One day I hope to own an e60 M5 like you. It is one of my favorite cars out there. We would have gotten more video of you but you drive so god dam fast haha. Hopefully next year my father will let me bring out the z06 and we can keep up. BTW we could hear your car from a good 1/4 to half mile ahead of us. Hopefully we'll see you again sometime. You talk on bimmerforums?

DeeLaw I agree if I had my good gear I would have better audio but unfortunately I was using a little consumer camcorder that doesn't record good audio by any means. I wish I had 1 or 2 passes of you doing your thing but we couldn't even hang with you for more than a minute before your chasing someone else. Anyways your whip is hot, hope to see more of you around.

 

Hey Brian... thank you for the wonderful compliments man... sorry that we didnt get to formally meet or chat... as far as being fast, hahaha>>> I made the mistake of becoming friends with the Porsche guys, LOL>>> they are insanely fast and much fun to drive with in addition to being a bunch of really great guys... I cant even tell you what we were averaging in speed hahaha... BTW, your M6 is pristine>>> beautifully kept... one of the best Ive seen thus far... my 14 yr old brother and I were admiring it... Im not on bimmerforums but do occasionally visit M5board utilizing the same ID...

 

And the Cut was pretty sweet too...

you have a real steady hand and follow action really well.

Gorski... Just got to 30 secs on utube and was loving the vid so much - shut it down and am now dl'ing the mediafile. Choice of music is not only fitting but OFF THE HOOK. Great work brother.

BM6W - Your car is IMMACULATE! I got the chills when I saw it at Miracle Mile - So clean and classy.

If you and Gorski are in the area... Maybe we can link up and you guys can show me a thing or 2 about editing. Always willing to learn.

 

We're in Union County, Westfield to be exact. Mike has a couple other videos of cars that he's made that I'll try to get him to post. To be honest with you, this camera he had was crap compared to what he's buying in couple of weeks. So we would like to meet up again w/ alot of guys to make a film.

I appreciate all the great feedback. I'm stoked I made a video that everyone is enjoying. Quite honestly I didn't think much of the video I shot would be any good when I was shooting it but it came out not too bad. TMINUS thanks for the welcome, I saw you shooting the whole day and you have a real nice set up. I'm looking to get the A1 and hoping to shoot more of these events when I'm not working. As for editing I work with Final Cut Express on a new Intel iMac.

TMINUS you must have some fatty footage b/c you were all over the place and in the action!!!

Yeah Gorski - My footage came out pretty dope. I got quite a bit of the 1100hp Viper and the Teal Murci going at it.

I too have a new Mac.. The Mac Pro desktop with the 23" HD screen - and Final Cut Pro Studio 5.1 - But I am only a novice with the field of editing.

I'll take all the help I can get. Knowledge is power.

No doubt, I'll help you with w/e I know. Thats a real solid work station for HD. Honestly its a hobby for me so I'm not very advanced with the program. I learn some stuff here and there from some other forums but other than that I kinda just play around with stuff till I figure it out.

 

Great video...I thought the rap was a good contrast to the trance/techno we often hear.

That M6 was beautiful.

It was a great run for a great cause. It was a pleasure meeting some of you and seeing/hearing your cars. We got to rack up some more miles and are closer to the break-in period being complete on the car.

I am apple certified for all video products, member of ACN, dev connection and actually consult for apple. Also I have an XSAN with 8 HD editing bays. Just got 4 new 8 cores in with 16 gigs of RAM for a client. Those things MOVE!
