I've noticed a more pronounced snap or bind when accelerating and shifting between 2nd and 3rd on my BB, under hard`acceleration not really noticeable but medium or slightly harder acceleration I notice it.

As you pull pack the shift lever to change from 2nd to 3rd while depressing the clutch it will feel as if a very slight bind but a noticeable snap out of gear, on a regular car I would assume a bind from a old motor or transmission mount but as the Boxer trans in integrated in a different manner I am wondering what else it could be, still could possibly be a motor mount causing the linkage to bind but maybe its something else?

Jeff, I noticed the same thing on my car, and only happens under medium to hard acceleration.
The lever seems to almost pop out of gear after applying pressure to pull it back. Almost like it wasn't all the way in gear. Or almost like a going south syncro. And it only happens in the higher rpm ranges.
I've never had it pop out of 2nd gear on its own while driving though, either on the throttle or off throttle, so I'm guessing a possible linkage adjustment.
I've made a habit of Firmly putting it into 2nd gear, and this seems to help.
My cars going to the shop in August, and I'll have Bobileff check the linkage.

Another nice picture from sunny Vegas, and yeah, the 355 looks huge, but good!

Within the syncronizer hub there are 3 small springs that apply pressure to the slippers which in turn fit into a groove inside the syncronizer ring. These slippers act as a sort of detent mechanism which aids in holding the gear engaged. As these springs become weak they lose the ability to lock it in and hold it firmly. The gearbox also has a second detent device as well as a lock out to prevent 2 gears from being engaged at the same time (BANG! CRUNCH OUCH!) The slipper springs are probably tired, compressed and lost their tension. Its not uncommon in a manual gearbox and its a time factor not usage. Without experiencing this on your car myself im making some asumptions of the symptoms and drawing a conclusion but its something to consider.
