Well, it DOES look like a nice car, but even just from a cursory review of the photos it should not be a very high scoring car - it has incorrect rear wheels (appear the be 9" 512BB), is missing the rubber gasket at the top edge of the rear bumper, etc...

Not trying to be a jerk, just another opinion...

    Hi Michael,

Thanks for the pics ! I wasnt there and my Dad hasnt sent me pics yet.

He didnt win. I dont know how the concours is judged and what it went up against with.

I cant wait to see this car up close ! Very aggressive.

IMO...........Other than pebble beach Real Concours is dead....Even FCA concours is a farse...for whoever sponsered that FCA concours has clients that patronize their dealership and they get prefernce over some outsider
However....This car was tops in my book....really special.

Great pics Michael. I especially like the top one and I am very partial to boxers and I have not seen that angle photo before. These cars are so sexy.

Do you have an engine shot?

    Possibly a P275, 60 R15 tire, had them on my 71 challenger.

I never tire of seeing those Boxer flares, especially when I'm stuck out here on the ocean.

Nice pictures there but how about the front view? The profile of those tires and the big wheels kill the proper 'look' of the Boxer from that period. It ruins the proportions. Fly Yellow looks great with the two-tone colors.

The 365 body is so nice and clean - and the flares shots are just gorgeous. It's sort of nice how the whole car appears daintier than the 512.

Thanks Andrew, I never tire of that view. The white lights look more subtle than the later orange lights would on Fly Yellow. No front plate to sully that proud nose either...

Beautiful, beautiful Boxer!!! This is probably the only two-tone Boxer paint scheme that I really like. The yellow looks striking in contrast with the black.

If thats the same Boxer that won Cavalino in 2005, it is one truly amazing restoration. The owner has "before" pics. "Cost is no object" is more than just an expression you may have heard.

I believe that was a different car. I may be wrong, but the one that wins everything is Phil Bachman's car. Which is, in my opinion, the best Boxer on the planet. I would purchase it in a heartbeat if he ever wanted to sell it.

Steve - I'm sure you'd have to form an orderly queue to get a chance to buy Phil's car, (18631 incidently), although I doubt he'll ever sell it, He prefer's it far more than his 512 (so does Martha)!
