Does anyone know a way to make it so that the most played songs on my ipod update in my most played playlist in itunes? Is it meant to do this anyway? I'm playing songs in itunes and they get added to my most played playlist but when i play them on my ipod, the "times played" count doesn't change when i sync it.

    Thanks

    Chris

I'm not sure if you can do the most played list from iPod -> iTunes, but you can the other way around.

However you have your playlists sorted on iTunes is how they will be displayed. You can sort songs by play count high to low or low to high, so I would think that if you copied your entire library to a playlist, then sorted it high to low it would transfer in that same way onto the iPod. That might work. :)

They should add this to the Ipod SW. I'd also like to be able to delete a song from the shuffle list. I had a cd carosel that you just pressed one button and you would never hear that song again.

I'm not sure if you guys are understanding or not. I have a frequently played playlist. Whenever something is played in itunes the play count goes up and the song is added to the frequently played playlist (and will move up and down the list if other songs are played more or less). What i want is if songs are played on the ipod, their play count will go up in itunes.

    I hope you guys understand

it doesnt work like that. Unless you want to install some kind of risky third party software, which may or may not exist, that will not happen sorry

The playcount on your iPod is independent from the playcounts in iTunes, there is no way to add them together to my knowledge.

Since there isn't a way to sync play counts between the two, I think the closest you can get is to create a Smart Playlist in your iPod that has the same filtering behaviors as your "Top 25 Most Played" in your iTunes.
