San Diego Get-together.

Ok guys, It's been awhile since all of us have gotten together for some food, beer and a bit bull****'n. Lets try to set something up after the Memorial Day weekend.

Hey, someone's alive in San Diego!

Are there any other restaurants where we could block off some parking and dine with a view of the cars? Your restaurant was great, just a little competitive w/regard to parking (I think I ended up next to a minivan or something last time...)

 

I have a brother that leaves in Mira Mesa and I plan to visit him for a few days, so I thought maybe I can join you guys while I'm down there and have the chance to meet some of you Fchatters if that's ok. My bro. is not an fcar owner but he has a few Scorpion as he is a Lancia Scorpion Guru. Thanks.

 

not to hijack the thread, but there are several Ferrari owners that show up to the Cbad meet every month, so SD is not completely dead.

Back on topic.

Depending on the time of day and the day you plan on getting together I can lend my services of providing the restaurant, plenty of parking most of the time and I can do my best to rope it off (depends completely on the day and time) but while inside you can not see your cars. But you wouldnt compete with parking and could all line up next to each other. Just throwing it out there.

 

Mike, would be great to meet you. We'll see what comes together...

Haven't been to Carlsbad in a while. The Symbolic events have had more Ferraris, and more of the classic sports cars, so I've gone to those more often.

 

Firenze next week anyone?

when? dont know I was just throwing an idea out there, if its middle of the day I dont work but we are open for lunch M-F and I can arrange it with my manager, I am there nights.

Its in Encinitas on El Camino Real just south of Encinitas Blvd by one light on the east side of El Camino.

I live here in SD too but and out of town next weekend for a week+. How about a Tuesday night dinner at a place called Modus in Banker's Hill. I know the ppl there and there is a parking lot right across the street in view with plenty of space.

I was thinking somewhere that we could have beer and wine and socialize a bit more. I do not serve either. Sushi bars are always a good bet. there is a great on in Solana Beach that has good parking out front.

Over the weekend I visited my brother in Mira Mesa then he took me around San Diego and Coronado Island and wow what a beautiful place then we had dinner at Filippis Pizza Grotto at Little Italy, awesome pizza the line was long but worth it. He told me that him and his other Lancia Scorpion buddies got together there with some Ferrari guys. Hopefully I'll have a chance to be there on the next meet.

Anyone has a set date yet?

 

Hello!

 

Not sure what the timing is since we have not set a date but Cavallo MotorSports just opened in Carlsbad. It is located at 6010 Avenida Encinas just west of I-5 and just south of Palomar Airport. It's not fully "finished" with pictures, furniture etc but it is operational. We are going to have a grand opening but want to wait until we have finished putting it all together. Depending on how many people and when, we can have a gathering there. We can set up a bar b que or something. Just a thought.

very cool shop, you guys should bring some cars out to the Cbad meet this month to get the word out its just across the freeway.

not yet, I was judging by what I saw on the site and the general idea. Good luck with it.
