Mega Thread: The 430 Replacement (F450, F500, etc)

at this stage no . they'll need to change the front bar , and other things , or else it looks like a norm 430

 

I got my new Road and Track last night. There is a pretty decent picture and short write up on the F430 replacement, the F450. It did not show the tailight arangement.

I have the mag too, and will try and post it if no one else gets a chance to do so first.

I can describe the car in the picture. It shows a "Photoshop" version of what this car might look like. The front-end looks like a 599 GTB because of the headlights, and the back end looks more like the 360/F430.

Even though the front looks like the 599, it is supposedly smaller in the front, since it won't be holding its engine in there. The engine will still be in the same place as the other M-R other cars that came before it.

They also speak about a 2011 Launch Date (Seems To Far) and they are not sure if it is a V8 or V10, but they are saying V8 (Because of F1).

 

Yeah, to me the headlights were turned in way to much to function right and the car was just too wide. I'm just about to go and scan it.

 

ok thanks.. i won't bother to scan it then.

as for the headlights, i really don't like the 599 headlights for some reason. I really like the 360 and F430 though.

IMO the whole article is a stretch and the kind of unconfirmed info you'd find on a blog. Anyway here's the pic. I hope it doesn't look like this.(although I'd save a ton of money)

oh my.... I am starting to miss the hide lights (like testarossa, 348 355). That picture is not really making me jump of joy.

Any more pictures than that one? Based on the single image, it's an apparent evolution of the 430 with the clashing lines and inchoherent features smoothed out. It's what the 430 should have been in the first place. Far more pleasing than the 430 but not a masterpiece like the 360.

Its a predictive design. In no way is it official.

 

I love the performance of Ferrari these days but it is really going in the wrong direction in terms of styling. I hope this isn't what the F430 replacement looks like. Nugget
