El Toro Track Day !!!

Anybody interested in coming out for a track day at El Toro on next Friday 15th afternoon? We’ll have cones set up for autocross and/or slalom plus the length of the runway..... Run all afternoon for $150.

Who is running the event? Sounds fun.

 

Couple of us, Been rolling this around for a while and its time to do this.

 

Is it possible to come and watch? I don't have anything with power or the money to run but I would like to come by and watch and meet a few of you guys if thats possible.

 

Sorry its more of a safety issue as we will only have a limited ammount of room for this.

 

JJay just pm'd me, this is a PRIVATE cars and crew only event. Spectators are NOT allowed under the insurance policy, nor are flat out top speed runs. If your name is not on the list, the Marine guard shack will be notified and you WILL be removed. If you want to go see hot cars, check out Cars and Coffee (C&C) and Village Coffee Roaster (VCR) every weekend.

I for one, appreciate a drivers only event.

I will see if I can attend, I will be doing something else that morning and should make it down

Sadly I'll be up in Seattle on the 15th and will be missing this event. I'd be up for the next one for sure.

Boy, I'd pop for the $150 just to be able to say I did a slalom run on the runway at El Toro. But, unfortunately a prior commitment prevents. Have fun!

So what is the plan? Who is setting up the autocross? Will it be mini technical or more like a small roadcourse w/ cones? Varing layouts during the day? Are you doing the dragrace thing too? Do you have any provision for safety gear requirements or tech inspection? Is there gas available and can you go on and off the base at will?
