Posted as a heads up...just in case someone is considering one of these babies....seen this one up for sale a couple times over the last few years.

Even better, if I recall correctly, it's one of the few manuals (1 of 6 maybe??)

Not sure what the story is, and it does seem kinda high priced....but it may be a score for the right person if its condition matches its pedigree.

I worked a deal on this car for months before the 308 Steve....he's smoking crack....but you never know...it is an almost perfect 355...red/black and it is 1 of 6 with a six speed. The car needs nothing, it is what it is, pobably the best 355 hanging around and he is the 2 nd owner...everythign checks out........ he's dying for a 360 spider for some strange reason.

It's a gorgeous car, I've seen it up close and personal. As mentioned the 6 speed manual. Get in and drive, it's worth every penny!

Like BigRed said....he's smokin crack. You never know, someone might make him a decent offer.

Its a hard sell, a decent 360 Modean will run in the $150's....

Yes it's high but do keep in mind it's Canadian dollars. Oh wait....isnt it at par now? :D

Would you like it if I said a Kawasaki Ninja was the same as your Ducatti? ;). Although price is high...I'd take this Fiorano over a 360 anyday.

I love the 355 as much as you do,..with a price like that I like the 360 better!

This seller is obviously testing the market to see if he can catch a "big fish"...:(

I am doing the math in my head and it doesnt appear to be a bad price. here is my thinking:

-Assuming it's all serviced up and complete with all the books, no stories etc.
-A good 1999 355 Spider is definetly in the mid 100's range to start as we all know.
-This is a very, very special car. Not only a badge that says Fiorano but all the goods to back it up. See f-chat search for Firoano 355 differences.
-Only 100 made. And this is the second last one! Means alot for a collector. The last one is probably in a museum never to be sold probably :)
-The RIGHT colour to many. Shall I say resale red? :D
-Not only is there only 100, but only 6 are manual. (Should be more :()

Surly you can get more car for that dough (Maybe). But from a collection point of view. This is a keeper and definetly the price is not super off.

    My .02

Vasco, you're making some sense now! Some good points there.. :D

Although I think a 355 spyder would be at the bottom of a collectors list....

Maybe he should get it off the autotrader.ca and put it in the duPont registry? Give it to Gentry Lane on consignment? Those are better options to attract/find a buyer.

Not a collector to you but to many it would/could be. It's not only the last of the classic-modern Ferraris but it's also a special edition. To each their own I guess. If I could afford it...i'd buy it. However, i'm a Berlinetta guy. The Spider look is more for playboys like you ;). Again, just my .02.

Correct, number 97 of 100, plus it sold at the Ferrari dealer, one owner car.

THis one is a 2 owner, the car does check out, it is clean, no storues behind it at all.....BUT ......if you say its rare, so are 100 348ss...there is nothing more special on the 355 "f" other than its the last bunch and has some carbon fibre, red calipars, and is 10mm lower...no extra hp, no extra suspension package...the car is way too early to speculate. If you had to guess i would say 140-145 is the cookies for that car maybe 150....i went this route, the owner aint interested unless he gets 170...

That's because the owner doesn't HAVE to sell. The 355 is the best looking modern Ferrari IMO but they made WAY too many of them. The Fiorano edition helps preserve the exclusivity, rarity and price on this baby #99/100. That's fewer than the Fiberglass 308's.

I guess everyone thought the same way about the fibreglass 308's at one time, but I don't need to tell you what a sorted, no stories car will go for. :)

But you have to factor in the MONSTROUSLY high mileage!

Edit: and it crosses a huge psychological barrier in 900 kms.!

I was talking about the Fiberglass 308.

Hey, if you trade in the 308 and Testa....maybe you can grab a 355 Spyder Fiorano?
