Why is everyone so hellbent on her staying in jail? The only reason she was hit with 23 days is because the media, who is incapable as a whole of reporting meaningful topics, was bent on blowing this incident out of proportion. They turned it into a mini drama series. Judging from the negative publicity they are creating, I would suggest she may have been better off staying in to satisfy all the venomous aholes out there. Let me tell you, if I was in Jail, and my attorney worked the system to get me out early, I would take it. All these newscasters would do the same in heartbeat. Bottom line, she had a good attorney who called the judicial and prison systems out on the discrimination going on because she was famous.
I am not surprised, I would have bet money there was no way she would spend her entire sentence. And it isn't being a celebrity that gets you "special treatment" it's being able to afford a good lawyer that gets you special treatment. For Paris, 3 nights was plenty to give her a reality check, and the prosecution should consider it a huge victory that they got her in there for at least one night. To the guys here wishing that she would have gotten beat up in prison, grow up. The girl is clueless and she learned her lesson in a very hard and public way, but she didn't belong in there with the real criminals. This is all the fault of her parents for letting her get in a car again after the first incident... pathetic. Is arranging a Limo to take you to the club so difficult? Only other explanation is that it was all a PR stunt... and would be even more pathetic.
Want to know waht REALLY REALLY pisses me off about all this? SHE STOLE BOB BARKER'S THUNDER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Why not? I personally also think it was all a PR stunt. She knew she could get off, so she was all for "going" to prison, because she knew she could get out anytime she wanted with some 'loop hole' like the "medical problem". All this has done is added a notch to her list of lifes accomplishments that she can add into her autobiography in 20yrs time. Also, all the 'stories' she could sell to the media/newspapers/magazines ect....... In 10yrs time she will be like "Hey girls, remember when I spent 3 nights in prison! Hehehehe". Thats what will happen and you heard it here 1st.
I bet any "millionaires daughter" that wasn't a celebrity would not have set foot in jail. Money gets helps a lot in the legal world... but because it was Paris, everyone was out for her blood.... so in that respect, I can see why Paris thought she was being treated unfairly.
Yes thats what I thought too at first. But really, who didn't know who Paris Hilton was before all of this? Why would she want to go to jail for MORE publicity? Her little "film" when she was younger already did that trick for her when the Simple Life first premiered.
What I actually meant was, that she opted to go to jail knowing full well she could leave anytime she liked, just so she could add it to the list of things she has done in her life. If you can see where I am coming from? She is probably the only person in her group of friends that has spent a night in a 'real' prison, so she can be the centre talking point when someone asks about prison as she has now officially been to prison, albeit only for 3 days. She probably lives by the motto, "ill try anything once". When she talks to her Grandkids in 50yrs time and tells them stories of when she was 'their' age, she can bust out this prison story. Among other stories.
I can already see it: 'I'm sorry judge, I thought you said the tracking ankle bracelet could not leave the house, I didn't know you meant *I* could not leave the house..' I can already see THIS, too: 'The new Paris Hilton line of designer tracking ankle bracelets - they are the rage of Hollywood - everyone has one' - Paris - Lindsey - Nick Nolte - OJ - Kobe - Nicole Ritchie - Mel Gibson - David Faustino - Robert Downey Jr. - Ryan O'Neil - Michael Jackson, and on and on and on..... She should have stayed in - she could have made yet another new TV reality show about 'My life behind bars'
This **** stole Bob Barkers thunder, how dare she!! Thank God I live on the east coast away from all of those complete whack jobs in Cali. Although if I ever want to murder a stripper with a tire iron and get away with it I'll be sure to visit Cali!
Now it's turning into a political ping pong match. "The problem here is that there is a medical issue and it isn't wise to keep a person in jail with her problem over an extended period of time and let the problem get worse," said Sheriff Lee Baca in a telephone interview. I'm sure she's suffering from panic attacks or similar. Anyone else would be tossed into a rubber room until they wore themselves out.
She is going back into court tomorrow on the judges orders at 9AM and probably back to jail.....and the Sheriff is probably going to be charged with contempt of court. I think someone paid off the sheriff or influenced him in some way. http://www.breitbart.com/article.php?id=D8PKAS3O1&show_article=1
So you think she should be free and be allow to not pay for the the crimes and violations she broke? I don't see how wanting someone to get the same treatment is wrong.
Sounds like Mr. Judgee got his feathers ruffled. It'll be interesting to see if he caves in to the "undisclosed medical condition" and let's her do the house arrest. PH will be doing her best "walking dead" impression she can muster at the court house tomorrow. It'll be a circus.
All I can say is she better arrive early and she should have found a more moderate place to stay during this house arrest.
