OK, I went to my dealer to take delivery of my new 430 Coupe. This was the seventh time that i took possesion of a new F-car. First was in 1978.
I figured "been there, done it", it'll be nice a new F-car. When I pulled away from the dealership, I said "holy ****, this is different." It is light years away from my last 360 Modena, more torque, speed and better handling than I had ever experienced in a multitude of high-end sportscars. I read all the reviews and thought that they were all true but, perhaps, exaggerated. This car is flat out fantastic. It's the real deal and I'm looking forward to much on rode fun.

Special thanks to Al LaPeter for sending me the options list on Christmas Day and to Scotty of Lake Oswego Oregon, for turning me on to the dual color interior option. I'll soon send pics. It's rossa corsa with cuoio/beige daytona seats, rear bench ,headliner, challenge rear grill, ball polished wheels, carbon fiber driving zone. shields,Ipod port and navigation. No CC brakes, not tracking car.

Thanks to the entire community for all the info I received in the last 6 mos.
Incidentally, factory battery charger is now included. Also I put on plastic shield protection. Pics to follow.

Very well said comparing the F430 to prior cars and the hype! It is nice that the hype is very true and better!

Congratulations on your new car. The description sounds awesome, can't wait to see the pix.

From reading your post, I came away with the impression that you bought the 430 without having driven one first, correct?

    Drive safe,
    Frank

Yes, you're correct. I figured it wasn't necessary because I had had 360. Little did I know.

I, too, bought my 430 without ever driving one, but figured "what the hell", it's a Ferrari, how bad can it be. Turned out, not bad at all. Best

The more I see of the Challenge Grill, the more I really like the look of it. Have fun with it!

Very nice, I love that dark tan interior.

What is that black box on the wall behind the passenger seat?

    I believe it's mandated by gov't to secure a child's seat. It's ridiculous.
I don't think it can be removed, because in doing so leather will be marred by indentation,

Thanks so much. I find myself looking at the interior more than the exterior!

I use Safari on my IMAC all the time. I had some initial issues with photos and bandwidth. Glad it works well.
