Hopefully the first impact knocked out Kubica, just like in skiing, and being limber kept him from any serious injury. But why was there a concrete wall on the outside of the track? And did I see pieces coming off of his car before impact with the wall? I see, he hit a Toyota.
Its become taboo to show really bad wrecks when there may have been a bad outcome. When (hopefully) he is confirmed to be OK, they will be showing it endlessly. Really really hope the man is ok.
Ditto. They were avoiding the entire thing after that commercial break. Seeing that made me sick to my stomach. I hope he is okay, but it didn't look good.
Alonos is probably chewing on the steering wheel right now as he will more than likely rejoin back in 10 or 11th.
I have a bad feeling about this. There is a reason they are not showing the cleanup. That was the worst accident i have ever seen live by far. I would be shocked if he is not seriosuly injured. I just prayed for a stranger which i rarely do, i hope he survived and is recoverable. Just shows how dangerous the sport is no matter how much work they do to improve it
They've only showed one replay - I thought the accident we witnessed at Spa quite a few years ago was bad but this one . . . bad . . might be better for him to have been unconcious with that nasty first hit on the wall. . . shades of De Matta last year . . they just showed the onboard from Antonio - he had a dodgem drive for several feet
Kubica collided with a Toyota and went airborn into a marshall's protection wall. Worst crash I have seen live in F1 for quite some time. Pray for Kibica. they have removed him from the car.
+1 Any time they put a concrete wall at an angle perpendicular to the possible direction of travel of a car, they are doing something dangerous. They had two walls with a break between them - the angle of the 2nd wall was such that he hit the wall at virtually a 90 degree angle. I really hope the kid's OK.
I think he will be Ok as he did hit the wall on an angle. More than lilely a concusion and broken bones.
