Absolutely crazy race, I don't think there's enough bandwidth on the site to go over all the insanity that just happened.
I am very happy for Hamilton, Wurz, Kovalainen, Heidfeld, and Sato. Too bad for Felipe, Kubica (glad hes ok) and Kimi. Neener neener for Alonso.
Congratulations Lewis. Well, the bright side for me is that I won't have to listen to Alphonso or Kimi make excuses in the post race interview.
Just the driver but he'll be thinking up excuses non-stop from when he first went off track right up until he gets interviewed. Alonso has the biggest ego on the grid - it will be McLaren's fault, the car's fault, the mechanics fault, the stewards fault, etc. He lost only because of the penalty, and a mechanical problem on the car - it had NOTHING to do with him going off track about 5 times. At least from HIS perspective.
Now let's hear the records he has again set. I wonder if he'll give his brother the trophy again? He started in first and finished in first. Looks like Ferrari has some homework to do this week. CONGRATULATIONS TO LEWIS - WELL DESERVED! Carol Glad for Sir Frank to see one of his cars on the podium.
Well, if Ferrari's season goes as today, at least I now have Sato to cheer at the races. I figure if he places anywhere above 22nd, he is a winner.
Congratulations to Hamilton, he drove an amazing race and deserves his spot on the podium today and I won't be surprised to see him take first place again this season. Alonso drove like a rookie, way too many mistakes and got passed by Takuma Sato. Kimi if indeed his car was broken for almost half of the race did a fine job but still not making up for his salary. Bad luck to Massa, maybe he'll pay more attention next time and not screw up. Fortunately Kubica is okay and it's good to see that the cars really are that safe. Lets hope Ferrari can pull it together when they finally get over here to the US.
OH dont worry....you will hear Alonsos excuses by tomorrow. Everybody and everything will be at fault but not his driving. He might even blame the guys who forgot to cut the grass in the senna curve.
Wow Hamilton wins with Heidfeld the only one to keep some sort of pace, amazing race by both. Lets look at the other who went up 16,18 and 6 spots its remarkable to hear about Wurs, Sato and Kovelehein or whoever his name is spelled. Glad I watched this race start to finish!
Kubica "broken leg" but nothing more. Good - very good. This was the most important part of this race, that he's OK.
is so much better than F1 "live timimg" !!!! LT is a pathetic joke...must be Bernies revenge on US fans..... Thanks to all the FChatters for posting "live" on here! james (with only a laptop)
I must admit I was starting to warm to Sato a few weeks ago and with him pushing to take the position from FA I find I'm a bit of a fan now.
Points lead... what's the math look like for Ferrari for the rest of the season? 48 Hamilton - Kimi 27 88 McLaren - 60 Ferrari
