I agree... Sack him and put Schumacher back in the car for the rest of the season or the Scuderia is done for this year...

The problem Ferrari would have if they do feel they need to replace Kimi, is who to Replace him with !! Cause as much as me all wish/dream the Schum is not coming back, certainly not this year !

What about Luca Badoer? Could he hold his own? I'm sure the guy's been living for the day he gets a nod.

As of now, Ferrari will not replace Kimi. There are really big issues with the car, for the most part, Kimi is doing his best. No one wants to believe that Massa is now just better than Kimi, but he is. Ultimately the majority of naysayers will agree with this.

First of all, Kimi will bounce back. Probably won't win the championship, but he'll win races again in a few months. But to his credit, he touched Felipe in the first corner, which I'm sure damaged his front wing, and then the piece of Kubica's car that got stuck in his wing probably didn't help. At least Sato didn't overtake him!!!!!!!

Edit: Doh! I forgot that Sato did pass him at one point. Weird. Anyway. I hope to see Kimi win at Indy next weekend. That would make driving all that way especially worth it!

I believe Kimi has the potential to be the fastest guy on the track.
Problem is that potential is worthless without motivation. Either internal or external. I believe he has become complacent.

It's been quite a year, so far. As far as the rest of this year, it will be a learning experience, until Ferrari, finds their balance.
It seems that Michael gave the Scuderia, the "Evil-Eye", upon his forced departure and it has taken hold of them.
Kimi has inherited a lot of Bad-Luck and added some of his own. Everything seems out of phase, for him and the Scuderia. I don't believe that he has become a bad driver, all of a sudden. His Luck will change as will the Scuderia's, but not for this year, I wish it were not so, though.

    Ciao...Paolo

No evil eye, Michael was not forced out, he is in the pits helping out his slave Massa.

Why do we forget that even with Michael and Ross, we had to endure 2005. So those two will not come back and create some sort of miracle. It is just McLaren's cycle. For now.

i'm just keeping my fingers crossed. if kimi doesn't win next weekend, the Scuderia can shift their focus on Massa.

    hi
when you look at the full picture mclaren had the faster car on the the day,
massa made a very silly mistake by going out of the pitlane when the redlight was clearly on, stewards at the race applied the rules to the law of racing,to me thats was the end of ferraris race weekend.
as to kimi give him a chance new car,new team, he will bounce back.
always remember he not schummi, and never will be.
i am ferrari fan always no matter who drives for them.

they might Ron, but i think it's all in Kimi's hands now. if he can be dominant like how he was in Aussie, it'll be interesting to see if he can make a Schumi-like comeback..

Brian, I am expecting Massa to make that Schumi-like comeback. He has Schumi on the sidelines coaching him, and he certainly has the drive and motivation. Massa knows this year is his best chance for a WDC.

true, Ron, but i haven't counted Massa out yet. whereas, Kimi is almost out now.

i think the trick is, for Kimi to get pole and i think he can convert it into wins..

    Yes.
Look at his lap times in comparison to his ex-teamate Montoya, who was no slouch.
    That when he "wanted" it.

I believe you are correct, Kimi would be the fastest on the grid with a car that worked as well as the McLaren does this year. I also believe Massa in an equal car would outqualify Hamilton.

Although with a few years of experience, I would think Hamilton will take these honors.

KR can drive, he’s proven that.
I think his lackluster performances have more to do with a possibly presumed first driver/second driver feeling on the team.
Massa’s been there longer, has a good relation with the engineers, still has Schumi coaching, and I wonder if KR doesn’t feel he’s been relegated to second fiddle,,,,,, and if so, with his ego has just decided he’ll play second fiddle from the back of the stage.
