See if this will work for you:...
This looks like one of those one-size-fits-all replacement deals. B.T.D.T. My experience is poor with these - the female part at the console is too long in the replacements, and the overall belt length is also too long to work. This ad says the webbing length is 131" - Off the top of my head, we all need something more like 110" or so. So, carefully measure the belts before you order a kit like this, and should you indeed ever find an exact match, post here! Cheers - DM
I am going to replace my compressor and cannot find the part number 278108. A few suppliers crossed that number to York 58066. Does anyone know if this is a new number for the correct compressor?
Dave Meredith contributed this in another thread, not sure if it's here yet: RADIATOR THERMOSTATIC SWITCH NAPA FS-193 Switch: On: 82 degrees C / Off: 68 degrees C This switch originally fitted to early 1980 Peugeot. Less than $25.00 USD. Perfect fit, completely interchangeable in every aspect.
pm member JFRAZAR as he and his mechanic at his car dealership have a new rotary compressor upgrade thats less load on the engine and electrical system. his Mechanic "RED" as we call him, can redo the entire freaking system and you can have a carb 308 with reliable, ice cold a/c for a reasonable price. there are 2 carb 308s here with the new system and they work great. one of the 308's belongs to Joe, the other is my old red GTB 20433 that belongs to a multi exotic owner and friend of our named Brian.
Can't find the screws you need in black anodize, and don't want to pay $2 each nor wait for them from a Ferrari parts supplier? Been tempted to spray paint them? Here's a quickie make-your-own solution I use. You can probably find most of the common screws you need at the local hardware store like Lowes, Ace or Home Depot. Get them in standard zinc, and then just soak them for one or two minutes in "Instant Gun Blue" solution, which you can get at most gun shops or sporting goods stores. What it does is turn them "instant black", fast and cheap! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
It appears (at least from the outside) that the Lamborghini Diablo uses the same latch. No sure about the inner bits (latch release cable attachment point, door lock lever etc....). Rob
Same as the Porsche 930(same vintage). I don't remember if its the same as the coupe or the targa. See automotion.com part #902849 or #902858. Rob
Here is a Napa part number for the copper crush washer on the oil and transaxle drain bolts: 704-1356 They call it a copper gasket. It's 22mm ID, 27mm OD and 1mm thick. $.64 each. Buy them 10 at a time and never run out. Birdman
I just replaced a cam seal on my GT4. I took the old seal to the local bearing shops and got a replacement, SKF 19600 or Chicago Rawhide CR19600. I would have purchased more but they only had one in stock and I was ready to drive again. Applied Industrial Technologies sells the seal for $5.04 but the deal is over at Motion Industries for only $4.50. http://www.applied.com/apps/commerce/catalog/catalog.do?e=10&s=1436217&r=0&type=a Hey! Their website says $4.50 also. I was charged $5.04 plus tax. Picture doesn't look right, but the part is. Installation was easy, didn't even need to remove the cam cover, just belt cover and belt. Of course my AC compressor is already on the garage floor, so that makes it easier! Image Unavailable, Please Login
Didnt find this posted before, I looked, but sorry if its a repost: Oil Filter for 328s (308s?) instead of UFI: Thread as reference: http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=158932
I tried EP34 in my 1981 308 GTSi and it did NOT work. I tried EP36 in my 308 GTSi and it WORKED! There are posts in this thread that EP34 works in a GT4 and EP36 works in a 328. From my results I would conclude that EP36 works in 308 GT?i's thruogh 328's. Hope this helps. stephen PS got mine at Advance for $11.98.
i just got my adobe CS3 upgrade and had to check out the new acrobat sw.. compiles this thread, here is a summary of the interchange parts list.. print it and keep it on the desk, in the garage etc.. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I just used a R-02 Metric O-ring for the radiator bleed screw available at Pep Boys in the o-ring kits. I/D=4.4mm, section=2mm. Fits well, no leaks
for an '83 308: All from Napa To confirm, GE158 has been superceded by GE168 - for side marker lamps. ($1ea) Brakelamps: #1034 ($1.70ea) Halogen Headlights LMP H6024 ($11ea) But the Crush washer listed as 704-1356 is the 18mm copper washer ($.69ea). Mine needs 22mm.
Didn't see this on the list For the carb throttle shaft bearings, sealed replacements SKF 607-2RSH/LHT23 (qty=8) Also, www.autohausaz.com sells the correct 7mm fuel hose that fits better than the 5/16th hose. They sell 7mm ID braided and 7.5mm ID non-braides FI rated line. They also have Gemi clamps. Look under 1972 Mercedes/280SEL. THe price is about 1/3rd what you'll pay local.
The body shop lost the screw for my hood release latch. Found a replacement (same screw as engine release latch): 5mm x 20mm Machine Screw Flat - Phillips steel/Zinc Plated : $0.79 Home Depot. A little dip in Gun Bluing...presto! Perfect black match to original Also, time to replace the hodge-podge of screws holding the black fiberglass Air ducts/master cyinder/A/C cover down... (7) 10x1/2 Pan Phillips Zinc. A quick dip in the Gun Bluing fluid....Presto! BTW: A plastic "Motts" apple sauce cup makes a great dipping tub
The Fuel Filter posted is the wrong one. Is there any other part numbers? This is the one in the engine compartment. Is the Purolator one listed a pre-filter? 1985 308 GTSi QV USA Model Hopefully someone has an answer, Thanks!
