I like the side scoops on the top; nice touch.
It amazes me how many people see these half-assed p-shop "renderings" and think they are actually pictures of what the real car will look like.
The photographers at spy firm Hidden Image have snapped a single shot of a new Ferrari model under wraps near the Italian automaker's Maranello headquarters. Supposedly a successor to the Ferrari 430, the new car would likely arrive as a 2010 model. Ferrari started offering the F430 as a 2005 model, and the 360 as a 2000, suggesting a five-year lifespan is typical for these vehicles. The Ferrari 355 was also sold for just five years. According to Hidden Image, the car will feature radical new styling scheme, the new option of all-wheel drive, reduced body weight and improved handling from innovative adaptive suspension damping. Since F1 racing cars have switched back to V8 power, expect the F430's successor to feature a V8, rather than a V10 to match Lamborghini's Gallardo. The new car would likely be shown in early 2009. Is the car pictured under wraps the successor to the F430 or something else? You be the judge http://www.leftlanenews.com/ferrari-f430-successor.html
+1 but it almost looks like there is a car cover over it... Hans G Lehmann has been doing this for decades and he couldn't get a clearer image?
I doubt they'd be driving around anything at this point that remotely resembles the final visual version of the successor. Possibly a 430 mule, yes. Could be the 430 Scuderia or a juiced up 430.
July issue of road & Track on page 20 has the new F450 scheduled for a 2011 debute. Around 520 bhp with 0-60 at 3.0 secs. Full size picture with no covers or tape ups. Looks like $200,000 opening price. Enjoy the ride
If you read the article, the photo was MADE UP. It is in no way official. They are playing complete guessing games.
Right on the side, it says "Photo illustration", doesn't it? Photo illustration = Photoshop. I doubt even Ferrari knows for certain what it will look like. It's 2007. It's 2-3 years away from release. They're probably just starting concept illustrations. But one thing's for certain: it will be radically different. Notice how this class of Ferrari has, for a long time, been in pairs? 308/328... radical change to 348/F355... radical change to 360/F430
